It's just an extra feature; 1.XX had a similar thing (though 1.XX swapped out Sagisu Angel of Doom for a Joseph-Maurice Ravel version):
The Hakone screening(s) is simply showing the extra, the Noguchi version of Please Give Me Wings instead of Tsubasa O Kudasai that was heard in the film.

If there is anything this movie needed, it's more scenery destruction. Perhaps a few explosions, too.
Anyways, do they just show Eva-03 being infected by Bardiel, or just her getting lifted?

I'm now confused as hell because the other blog clearly mentioned a synchro test for the 3 pilots, but this one says nothing of such. I guess the big cut is still featured, but Asuka DOES say that line to Misato later on? Ugh, WTF.

Are you sure about the "Maicchingu" or whatever? I've been searching and found that the phrase comes from a manga/anime called Maicchingu Machiko Sensei. But I couldn't quite understand what it was used for there ('tseems the phrase became quite popular during the 90's). Something about one of her students groping teacher Machiko?

That's a lot of post release correction. I wonder if aside from the new scenes this will feel drastically different.
Hell, maybe they fixed/removed/changed my two biggest beefs with 2.0- the unnecessary Crotch Closeup of Asuka rolling over in bed and Misato's odd and out of character mini-orgasm she has when Kaji gives her a can of coffee in the NERV cafeteria.
Also it's great to hear the new scenes aren't Mari playing with bunny rabbits or something like that.

ooohh, i see the stooge's names mentioned in there. yay! PLUS more Asuka and a scene with the three pilots? i'm gonna love this release. 
bittersweet ending: episode 24. the angels are gone and mankind is safe... but tokyo-3 has been ruined; Kaji is dead; toji is a cripple; kensuke, hikari, and their families have moved away, taking pen-pen with them; Asuka is catatonic; ritsuko is in prison; Misato is a nervous wreck; Rei is "the third one"; and Shinji is utterly broken psychologically after having to kill the only person who has offered him unconditional love in the course of the whole series. come the movie? don't worry! it gets worse! ~from the source of all wisdom in the world.
