Is this another game turned into manga spin-off?

Or is it meant to be an original story?

By the way, the Anthology Monthly Asuka also featured the Girlfriend of Steel 2 and Gakuen Datenroku manga when it was being published in Japan.

Detective Shinji? We are one step closer to the Civil War-themed inspirational sports movie Eva manga spinoff! At this rate it'll happen someday. It has to. We've had nearly everything else.

Anyway, I'm 50% sure this is going to be based off of the Detective Evangelion game but I guess we'll see.

Could this be the manga that will be released? Or is it probably Gakuen Dantenroku? I'd find it hard to believe a brand new (to Japan) Eva manga would be released so quickly state-side, so I'd guess Gakuen Dantenroku is the most likely candidate considering it recently ended in Japan.

Sailor Star Dust: I've got that volume of Shinji Ikari Raising Project - it's definitely Gakuen Dantenroku Dark Horse have picked up. They describe it in enough detail to confirm (I'd quote it, but am about to go to work).

I will buy this, because I'll buy any Evangelion manga that comes out, but I really hope it's better than Angelic Days... I'm glad it's got a different scenario to the typical high-school romance drama at least.

Personally, i'm hoping for Evangelion:Rock & Roll Highschool to be the next spin-off.
