We've all bought something every now and again that we later think to ourselves when we see that purchase "Why the fuck did I buy that?"

So! What are things you've bought that you've regretted soon after or later on.

For me it would be a few video games that weren't that good or entertaining for me. They're other stuff but I can't remember at the moment.

I remember one time I bought a samurai sword set over the internet and it turned out to be a set of miniature letter opener samurai swords.

I feel sorry for you

I considered srsly buying that when it came out, but then I played an in-store display and was unimpressed enough not to buy it

for me though, the most regrettable purchase was a steering wheel and pedals combo that I bought when I had a PS2 years ago

it totally sucked, it was either too sensitive or not sensitive enough, fought with it to make it work for hours, I had to take it back because it was such a piece of junk

Mostly stuff to do with getting fit:

- A set of (expensive) weights which I've never properly used
- An ebay bought fold up bicycle from Korea which now lies in two pieces under my desk. (BUI - Bought under the influence.)
- A DDR dance mat and game pack for my old PS2, also a BUI.
Neon Genesis Evangelion (from the Greek Ευανγελιον, meaning "Gigantic robots piloted by mentally ill children")
Eva Facts:
-Gendo's final silenced line to Ritsuko was "I'm going to shoot you now."
-Nagisa Kaworu kills a kitten every time you masturbate.
-Kaji's first and last name was Kaji

:um-no:

Megaman X7 was an absolute trainwreck. Sure x5 and x6 were fairly craptastic (why did they make armors into all-or-nothing propositions just at the moment they finally offered some choice in the matter?!?), but this was a colossal failure even by their standards. X7 is the one and only megaman game I've traded back to the store.

I don't even remember X7 that well so I guess that speaks to its quality, as for DQ8 that had no story and just gave me a bad vibe and I felt like I was playing something that was made 15 years ago. I thought X6 was really funny because each level was hell incarnate with everything out to kill you while the bosses were jokes. Though I couldn't get past that spike maze or w/e in the last level.

for me, its RPG Maker 2 & a CD I recently got

the former, because it wasn't what I was expecting & the latter is because I received a cleverly designed bootleg, not the real thing (had I got the real thing, then I would have been highly satisfied)

yup

I still feel like I was ripped off, because its not the real deal & rather a very well-made bootleg of the real one

If I can find the real copy, i'll gladly pick it up & sell off the fake to an unsuspecting store (actually, if the bootleg didn't have the opening song cut off & instead shoved behind the 0:00 mark which makes listening to it on a portable CD player & PC, then bootleg or not, I wouldn't mind)

& yes. Megaman X7 (as well as X8) is garbage. Even X6 wasn't nearly as bad (Hard, yeah, but not trash)

Pretty much. I tried playing X7 twice, but the sheer horrid of it was so bad that I sent it back to Gamefly without even beating the first level.

Another one I remember sucking hard was Product Number 03, what a terrible pile of shit. I also regret buying Street Fighter IV. Since it's an arcade fighter port and not a console fighter (BIG difference), I'm not very good at it.
