Hopefully I will only have to wait a month or so to see an Australian release then.

That's great news, yet they don't seem to have it on Amazon yet. If this proves to be true, I'll be very happy.

Looks conveniently timed with my birthday.

I'm going to feel weird owning 2-3 copies of this movie.

Versions on my PC and 1.01 DVD aside, I think I might just wait for a Gainax/Kara tetralogy boxset release. Guess I'll see.

Not like I didn't post this a week ago but it's going to be great to FINALLY put the first film behind us for a while. For the first time since late 2006 we won't be waiting for anything Evangelion 1.0 related. Until they announce the Evangelion 1.5 release after the whole series has finished of course....

Australia got 1.01 way, way, before America did. I'd be slightly surprised if Red Ant plans to release 1.11, though.

EDIT: Oops, looks like Red Ant is now defunct. I'd be VERY surprised if they release 1.11.

Madman has got it all now, they recently released the dubbed 1.01, and have said on their forums that they'll be releasing 1.11 next year.

RedAnt getting the rights was just a freak occurrence that was probably caused by the slow pick up of the 1.0 rights in America, and therefore is very unlikely to happen again.

Not really, I skipped the first generation DVD. But now I feel like going back to buy it for collection's sake.

I’ve got two different box sets of the TV series, standard and platinum, and two box sets of the original movies. This time around I only intend to by each of the new movies once, though I’m not entirely sure I can hold myself to that promise.

Yeah... I try not to think about how much money I've sunk into 1.0 already.

Let's just say the Rebuild franchise has not been a cheap affair, comparatively.
