Favorite Video Game music?

We have a music thread and a game thread, so why not a combination of both?

For now, my favorite VG music is...

- Face of Fact (Baldr Force)
I'll be mildly suprised if you know what Baldr Force is without googling it. But that doesn't really matter, because

I really love the music to Chrono Cross, the Silent Hills, and the Metal Gear Solids. Yasonori Matsuda (the Chrono Cross guy) is a great RPG composer. His music for Xenogears and Chrono Trigger is also wonderful as well. I like him much more than Nobuo Uematsu.

Silent Hill's soundtracks are SO interesting. Very creepy but also very pretty. And Harry Gregson-Williams's work on the MGS series is high quality movie music while the vocal songs are fun.

Other game music I like is Threads of Fate, Resident Evil: Outbreak, some of Kingdom Hearts, and of course Zelda: OoT.
Thank you for flying Church of England, cake or death?

Nobody's mentioned Megaman yet?

Those games have some great music.

Some of my personaly favourites include Cutman's theme, Armoured Armadillo's theme, Megaman Zero's theme from MMZ2, Megaman Juno's theme from Legends & Iceman's theme from Network Trans-Mission.
2:34 And behold, We said to the angels: "Bow down to Adam" and they bowed down. Not so Iblis: he refused and was haughty: He was of those who reject Faith.

Giant robots with angels trapped inside of them,
Teenaged pilots & an evil organization,
Doing battle with giant monsters from beyond,
Mankind's last hope lies in the Evangelions

Final Fantasy music.

Nobuo Uematsu pwns.

Particularly, FFX music. I liked Suteki da Ne and Silence Before the Storm. And err, just about every other song on the OST.

But Uematsu's leaving Square. -cries-

Also, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I've played the game since I was in 2nd grade and I still never get sick of the music.

The music from FFX during the Blitzball game in Zanarkand.

Laguna's battle muzak from FFVIII

And that song from Phantom Crash, the one sang by the crazy hologram woman.
Tell me, is something eluding you, sunshine?
Is this not what you expected to see?
If you wanna find out what's behind these cold eyes
You'll just have to claw your way through this disguise!

Zanarkand blitzball song is called "Otherworld". But I've never been able to figure out who's actually singing it. XD I used to know the lyrics.

Oookay then. XD

I was expecting a Japanese name, or something, if I was ever to find the person who sings it.

Though it could be the name or alias of the person who submitted the file to whatever program/site you may have downloaded the song from. Whenever I look for the artist, it always comes up with Nobuo Uematsu.

Now I know what the lyrics are supposed to be, Otherworld doesn't sound anywhere near as good. I preferred when they were just growl noises.

Also: Ariels Lament form Soul Reaver II.

XD Otherworld's lyrics kind of amused me. They're all Engrishy.

I went through a FFX-fandom phase. o__o;

I don't like game music. I let winamp play in the background whilst i run around blowing shit/bots/players/enviroments up or leading the greatest charge of the biggest army ever anyone has ever seen...

Deus Ex!! Probably the greatest game evar, despite it's flaws.
Theme song here: http://koti.mbnet.fi/joku_muu/01%20-%20Deus%20Ex%20Main%20Title.mp3

Also Doom, Mega Man X and Hitman have rather awesome tunes.
