I saw it today on the big screen (in Portland)! It was awesome!
Visuals: These were incredibly good. Like, they left everything from the 1995 version in the dust. That tetrahedron angel-thingie was so beautiful compared to the original one, i was almost sad when they killed it (although that part looked awesome).
Audio: The dub wasn't bad as far as dubs go but nevertheless there where some parts where I lol'ed at the word choice. I don't like dubs.
Music: Awesome, though not as stunning as the visuals.
The changes were, IMO, all for the better and they did a really good job with everything. I was blown away. I'm now scared that the original won't look as good in the face of this new power.
This movie totally made my day.

It turns out the date has been changed to 9/11 for the showing. I have no idea if it WILL be a weekly run or not as advertised on the postcard though. Once I find out if it'll be dubbed or subtitled, I'll update with that information too.

I do think the fact that a post-apocalyptic film is showing on September 11 shows how long it's been since that Tuesday morning in 2001
even in San Francisco (sorry to stereotype, but it's too true IMO), I could not imagine this being shown back in 2002 or 2003, especially how you had that really bizarre list of "banned songs" that couldn't be played on the radio for a time because they supposedly invoked too much of some aspect of 9/11
