In Moyoco Anno's new art book it looks like she included a little comic she did about her husband's everyday life.It looks very interesting to say the least.

It's gonna be 50 pages of Anno staring at the reader saying "Grow up. Stop analyzing a cartoon to death and talking about it online
Rebuild  SPOILER: Show
You don't like the Vatican Treaty or what happened to Asuka? Grow the fuck up and go outside. You did like the Vatican Treaty and what happened to Asuka?
Good. Now grow the fuck up and go outside"

Then followed by 20 pages of cartoon chicks asses and to close it all off 120 pages of advertisements for Evangelion merchandise.

Thank you for forgetting this isn't the Rebuild subforum, Gendo'spapa. -_-; Next time use spoiler-tags.

Anyway, this looks interesting. I wonder if Moyoco feels Mari was based on herself (role-wise) or if any of that sort of thing is discussed at all.

Once again that pesky language barrier gets in the way...

I really should just buckle down and learn Japanese one of these days.

...of course then I would be one of "those people"...

Is there any chance we non Japanese speaking worthless suckers get subs for this? It's a little documentary about Moyoko with a little part featuring Hideaki Anno as well.

Hi 2009 Xard! What's up man? Feeling sufficiently mawkish and unassertive? Ha ha, sucker.

Sorry mang, I can't into subbing. The Anno bits don't have anything too meaninful about them - though the fact Anno apparently ALWAYS wears suit like that at home fucking killed me :hahaha:

Initially they shit talk about food, afterwards they talk about how harsh critic Anno can be (he pretty much declares the drafts of manga lukewarm). Their shared hobby is mountain striding/walking/whatever. Initially Moyoko found Anno scary (I gather this means when they first met) but well he wasn't that bad. She especially likes how she can talk just about anything frankly with him.

Doesn't seem too surprising to me that Anno's apparently the type that wears PJ's all day around the house.

According to the youtube poster, this was filmed in 2004. It's actually kind of cool to see inside Anno's home, at least at that time.
Who knows if they're still living there due to Rebuild making oodles of money.
Among the people who use the Internet, many are obtuse. Because they are locked in their rooms, they hang on to that vision which is spreading across the world. But this does not go beyond mere ‘data’. Data without analysis [thinking], which makes you think that you know everything. This complacency is nothing but a trap. Moreover, the sense of values that counters this notion is paralyzed by it.

And so we arrive at demagogy. - Hideaki Anno, 1996

The YouTube automatic subs are not entirely irrelevant gibberish.

The Hataraki Man anime certainly did not attempt to do more than capture a slight flavour of her actual style. This is a good thing.

Slight amusement at the Union Jack mug on the table near the end of the program.
