That reminds me of a post a while ago stating Shinji was attracted to anything with 2 legs and pilots an eva.

I wont like it if Mari turns out to be a spy for Seele. even so, perhaps she'll be an affiliate of Kaji's.

Maybe Mari starts out kind of shy with no friends and Shinji kind of becomes closer to her. When he does however, she is obsessed about violence and can only talk about killing and maiming Angels. On top of this maybe the only way she can show love is acting very violent towards him, which freaks Shinji out. Then he ends up trying to avoid her while spending more time with Asuka or Rei, then she becomes batshit crazy, somehow tampers with the LCL pressure controls, and tries to kill Shinji with her EVA while on a mission, forcing them to fight to the death because there is no way to stop them from fighting.

I really can't wait to see just what kind of character Mari is, and how her relationship will be with the others.

Too bad we'll likely have to do with vague reiterations that some Japanese make upon return from the cinema, with lots of stuff likely be lost in translation, for quite a while. Time after the 1.0 release was bad enough, even them just having to recount a handful of new things. Now imagine them having to summarize the whole 90(?) minutes to us.

I think Mari's probably gonna be a huge emo. I also think that she will have far more problems both socially and psychologically than Shinji and so he will freak out and be like " BITCH GET OUTTA HERE, IM DAH DAMN EMO ROUND HERE!" and then cut off Eva unit 05's limbs and so that is how unit 05 got to be how "War Amp-ISH" it is today.

Ornette gave a pretty accurate summary of the first Rebuild film when he saw it in Japan a few years back, and will probably do the same with 2.0. Keep the faith. ;)

VectorV: The figures for Eva merchandise isn't always the same as the actual image/whatever in the show or film. It's probably a case of that more then anything else.
