Did I not mention that?

Fix'd

I timed it for the 720p version
http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/805039/Anime.BD.Evangelion.1.11.You.Are.Not.Alone.1280x720.WMV9.WMA.5.1ch.3xR.srt

Subtitle Workshop raped the ASS styling so it's now just bare .srt

squall.leonhart: sorry if I offend you and your hard work, but I'd rather watch my downloaded 720p version since I don't even own a Full HD TV

I don't care how you watch it.

I might (read: depends on how many people bug me) make 720p/480p/XviD version.

Mine came today (Sat), but I've not watched it yet as my PS3 is on loan. DVD is shipping though, so I'll be playing that ASA it arrives. Will post on viewing - I've watched 1.0/1 several times so will notice differences fairly easily.

I hope Gainax releases Eva TV, or at least EoE on Blu Ray soonish.

While I do want to see EOE on BD I might stick with DVD for the TV series. The animation flaws would become so visible they'd finally become more distracting than endearing.

You can't load subtitles onto the playstation 3, so if you use the official bluray then you can't experience it in english at all. You haveto download the 720p video and mux the subtitles into it to watch it with subtitles on the playstation 3.

Or use one of several different media streaming methods to stream the file to the ps3 from your PC.

Question on Evangelion 1.11 DVD

Hello :)

My question is quite simple : I want to import the Eva 1.11 DVD, but there aren't English subtitles. But fans have subbed it. Would I be able, using VLC or something, to use those fansubs on the retail DVD please? Or maybe on another - maybe more convenient to watch on a sofa - system?

Thank you very much!

Yes. VLC, MPC and various other players can take subtitle files and play them over whatever movie you wish.

Also, lose the blue text.

Ripping is perfectly legal, IIRC... except in the USA. Lulz free country. Anyway, if you're not in the US:

http://handbrake.fr Use that. I think she can insert subtitles aswell.

If you're in the US, report to the nearest police station and turn yourself in for DMCA violations. But still rip the bloody DvD.
