Sucks it's a news service, but I'm glad it will feature Misato* at least. Thanks for the headsup! ^_^

Edits the News post accordingly

More info. You can customize the background and such. I don't own a PS3, so those who do, have fun, because I don't care anymore.

Darn what a let down. DLC content from Bandai and Namco that lets you use software to create daily news reports read and presented by a poorly rendered (PS2 quality) Misato?

Damn.....and i was hoping for an actual full fledged PS3 game with intense battle sequences and cutscenes.

Bah humbug. This is no different then from a darn dating sim or those raising character projects for Shinji, Rei, and ritsuko. :(

Wow. That wins the honorable prize of disapointment of the year. Yeah, of course it was too much to ask for an awesome next-gen game when they haven't been able to produce a single great Eva game in 14 years...

At least, Evangelion Jo looks decent.

Bah, and here i thought Evangelion was finally going to get a game that is worthy of the name.

Though i don't now why i'm whining. I don't and likely won't own a PS 3, and an emulator of the PS 3 for the PC is not going to happen before the next Ice Age, so even if it were a game, i wouldn't be able to play it.

But it would have been nice to know that there exists at least one decent Eva game..*sigh*

Clearly they fail at delivering the goods. :fistshake:

I fear it's going to be a loooong friggin' time before someone makes an Evangelion game that's good enough that they'd localize it for the West. Our only hope may end up being the game tie in for LAEM, assuming that ever gets out of development hell...

With Eva games not being locally available, that's what Imports and FAQs/walkthroughs are for. Seriously.

In regards to Eva: Jo, if Eva2 was one of the few decent Eva games (shame how people forget that), I think Eva: Jo will be good too, although I'm waiting for reviews of it before getting it.

Sadly most eva games are so dialogue heavy that import guides really don't let you enjoy much of the game.

Something like a SRW game I could enjoy with translation faq for example, but the Eva games just are a different beast.

The only Evangelion game I was able to play without a translation was Evangelion 64, since it's a fairly straightforward action game (even if it's not very good). Playing Girlfriend of Steel 2 or Evangelion 2 / Another Case would be pretty hard though, since most of the game comes from the dialogue, and unless you've got a translated transcription of the game full of handy reference cues, it'd be a real pain to get through.

I wish they'd just put out a PSP 2-pack in the US with translated copies of the Girlfriend of Steel collection and Evangelion 2. Given how much shovelware seems to end up on handhelds these days, I don't see what a publisher would have to lose releasing them here.

Since this is a speech synthesis thing, I wonder how lifelike it'll sound. If one could make Misato say anything he wanted, think of the wonderful/horrible possibilities.

 Yes. But from what I understand, it's her discussing news related matters only. (whether it's anime, news-related stories, or what have you.)

But what about Sex Scandals? Those are all over the news these days. I just imagine it now. My daily dose of the latest sex scandals news all read by our lovely Misato! :leekspin:

Why does most Eva games have to be these text like games? Why can't we have a good actual game like NGE2 or the N64 one?

NGE2 was largely text based adventuring/relationship building as well. The n64 one was one of the few actual action gaming eva games.

Well that sucks. Hopefully we'll have a true next-gen Evangelion game one day.
