"Third again, huh. You never change..." could refer to something else, like the as-yet-unidentified Third Angel.

At least one previous (not-too-accurate) translation of that line went "I want to meet you again, Shinji Ikari" or "I look forward to meeting you again, Shinji Ikari". Your fansub has the best available translation of that sentence, which has no 'again' in it.

That's one weird place for a geoglyph, smack-dab next to a bunch of ruined skyscrapers.

I wonder if Mari or even Shinji could end up being the Third Angel? If Shinji's the Third Angel then that would be quite a twist wouldn't it? Let's remember this isn't NGE.

This whole series is gonna end as a dream. Last scene will be Anno waking up in his bed, with Evangelion bedsheets, and saying to himself "This dream gives me an idea..." Thus leading to a movie about Anno making Rebuild. BRILLIANT!

No, it'll be his wife, waking up in horror. She'll find her love, Hideaki Anno, in the shower and tell him of her nightmare. "Oh honey, it was like Neon Genesis Evangelion, but Kaworu was on the moon, and Shinji was an Angel, and Mari was a FAR, and..."

He will comfort her, "Sssh, sssh, my love. It's alright. ...What's Evangelion?"

Then they'll both stare into space in foreboding caution, holding each other tight.

It would seem a bit odd to have Mari be an angel...and I certainly hope that Misato would not trust Kaworu if it turned out that Mari was an angel.

"Hmm, well that one chick Seele sent us was an angel, so this new guy they sent couldn't possibly be an angel HURR DURR."

As mentioned before, if Shinji were an angel, then it would be like Retake, and for some reason that's a bad thing.
