Well, it usually starts with a perfect Asuka clone, which is what I wanted to avoid as much as possible. Most seem to forget/ignore that red isn't exactly a dominant color-trait (no matter where the parents' characters are).

That's why I usually predict their first born as a male, because that makes the genetics side of things a bit easier... He'd look basically like Shinji, but with Asuka's hair and eye color. Unless it's twins, in which case you can have that, plus a girl who looks like the opposite. Ideally, that would be followed by third baby another two years or so down the road, who would be an "Asuka clone."

All this talk reminds me of this ridiculous plot turn where a certain indecisive adolescent impregnates the bitch of all bitches, which creates a child that has the ability to protect the mother by AT field from within the womb...

I've been trying to forget that, but then a topic like this pops up, and certain suppressed images and ideas rise to the surface.

Nice to talk about children having children

At least asuka-shinchan kids would be able to start on a clean slate, if character flaws and mental instabilities aren't genetic but gained through experience.

Hmm... this topic needs more Hikari/Toji kids to counteract the insanity.

I'm thinking a shy athletic tomboy, a scrawny know-it-all boy with perfectionist leanings, and a hyper-intelligent and sickeningly cute but downright mean younger daughter.

If A/S even THINK of reproducing they need therapy and lots of it first. Then they could have an Aki-chan (Jimmy)/Kami-chan (Re-Take)/Mari (Pengel). BUT ONLY ONE KlD SINCE THEM REPRODUCING IS SCARY. /weird LAS'er
Also this thread needs KawoRei offspring.
Oh, and for what it's worth, an Eva card stated Aoba likes Maya.

He's a troubled lad, with an equally troubled relationship with his mom, but it turns out alright in the end. Azrael is a good boy and he loves his mommy.

Since Yui and Zeruel are so close, and because they're both badasses in their respective groups, I think they should have a child, too. Let's see... What would she look like?

Well if Anno has gone and pulled a Tomino change of outlook on his life we might get some crazy wildly different ending this time around.

That's a good point. Second Impact left pretty much every other person dead, so even if Shinji and Asuka are not "the last people on earth" (which I've always thought was a pretty ridiculous concept, personally), I'm sure that there are other incentives to to have a lot of kids. And given how sexually frustrated Shinji and Asuka are, it'd probably get people three blocks away pregnant. :smokin:

They'd probably go for a pretty decent sized litter. Hopefully not a tribe (6 or more). Whether or not they can raise them properly depends on how much they mature over the next few years. I think they should NOT plan on having kids until they're like 20 or something though, because they need time to grow up! Maybe in 6 years they'll straighten their lives out a bit, because really, who wasn't an asshat when they were 14?

There was someone who once said that it takes 10 years for you to realize just how much of an ass you were ten years ago, and that such revelations never really stop. Sure, you'll think your okay at the moment, but ten years from now... you'll see. :smirk:

Reichu: I thought the sauce for "Aoba liking Maya" was Carddass Masters Trading Card Game, but I remember reading about this on either EvaOtaku (searching now turns up nothing) OR the Anime Nation Forum archive, possibly something Shin-Seiki said? I'll keep looking and post the sauce here when I find it.

True... I've met plenty of asshats in college, all of whom have been over 20. :\

If someone is still an asshat in their 20's though, I think there's a good chance that they're going to be an asshat for most of their adult life. As cheesy as it is to quote Spider-Man, "These are the years when a man turns into the man he's going to be for the rest of his life." Everyone goes though the asshat stage during their teen years, but the question is whether or not they grow out of it. I've met plenty of people who have, and plenty of others who have not.
