Sounds like the RockManBalls Whistle.

About the most I'd be able to do is translate (to varying degrees of success) a summary written by some Japanese fan who's read the whole thing. Yamashita is way beyond me.

Thanks for the chapter, at least the two new images are awesome, Shinji´s battle against Angelcarrier looks incredible, and Eva-02+Allegorica coming down like a final boss with the bloodstained 01 looking at him looks 0___0.

TMBounty_Hunter wrote:klasnic, you have some stuff translated into spanish on another forum. do you think you can put that up in english?

So you saw my spanish post ^^. Sorry but my written english isn´t too good x__x, I wouldn´t be able to translate all my spanish post.

TMBounty_Hunter wrote:This is getting more and more confusing. Last chapter pics we see Asuka and Rei going to the moon and now Eva-02+Allegorica are already back and coming down like a final boss. Is it just Asuka fucking around or did Eva-02 get contaminated with the Enigma Parts like one of the Eva0.0 in the previous chapters?

I thought that that Rei was fighting against Asuka, not going with him XP, so this Rei is Rei Sanku. And yes all happened too fast, hope that nothing bad happened to Asuka in the moon/space :asuka_sad:

Am I really that predictable? Probably.

First of all, I really do, as others do, appreciate you scanning these. I might be able to write up a very basic summary to the best of my abilities, but I can't promise I'll try. But I'll try to try. I'm just being honest with my ability to want to do something and then not do it. It's a bad habit.

I've come to the same conclusion.

Seems Anima is jammed with mecha and action, is there much actual story or even dialogue amongst the characters or is mainly just monthly mecha porn?

I think it's just an excuse for Yamashita to draw whatever the hell he wants.

Well there sure is a lot of words on those pages :toothy:

Just it seems like theres mecha and action in every picture so makes me wonder if it actually has any actual storyline, character interaction, etc, and not just a series of battles.

I'm really surprised that someone hasn't scanlated ANIMA yet, I'm considering doing it myself.. I'v asked my friend if she would help with the project with additional translating & photoshoping etc.

This all depends if i get the time do so though, I have a lot on the go just now, but when i'm less busy i'll definately try to translate the chapters to the best of my ability~

There aren't any translators for the whole thing, but it seems like RockManBalls, Klansic, and Reichu were giving folks a general idea of what's going on some time ago.

My guess is an actual translator wants all of this to be done before doing it, or nobody just completely stepped up to the plate yet.

True, I'm actually really amazed that no one on the internet has taken it upon themselves to start translating yet~

Thats why i'm thinking of translating it soon, If i find the time too do it that is.. I definately would like to bring more attention to the series, since it certainly is an interesting concept.

It would be easier to translated while it's still going, waiting for the whole thing to finish just often backfires for groups who end up getting scared at amount of work or how large some fiction turns out to be.

Main thing turning people away from translating as with most of it's type, is that it's a "novel". Even a photonovel like this one has a lot of words and often much more complicated dialogue than the stuff you find in manga, which is written more matter of fact with the pictures. Far less groups doing novels than manga scanslation groups.

Don't worry about photoshopping stuff, I have that covered. Just worry about translating this monstrocity.

SSD: I hadn't done any Anima-related translation work, but I made an offer to TMB about translating summaries Japanese fans had written.

I'd be happy to help proofread any translations for consistency of terminology and awkward phrasing and all that. Anima would be impossible for me to do from scratch, but I can at least double-check odds and ends. With something this big, editors would be critical, I'm sure.

I also repacked the first 16 chapters (all the stuff before last month's Special Chapter Vol.1) without the merch pages and uploaded it to the usual place to try and get more people interested

Someone please explain why Kaworu is on the cover and also mentioned in the Armaros' description

no .rar yet because I usually scan the Eva related hobby stuff and throw that in, but in this issue there is an absolutely OBSCENE ammount of Eva things due to Rebuild 2.0 release, so that could take a day or two more.

Once again I just wanted to say thanks a bunch, TMBounty_Hunter for taking the time to do these scans for us. This thread might not be overflowing with new posts, but I assure you Anima has its fans and we appreciate getting to see this stuff. It's great that you also scan the merchandising pages - being the merch whore that I am I get a kick out of seeing new stuff to throw my money away on. ...oh god, I'm enabling them...

We keep seeing these 3D renders of Super-Eva 01 - I wonder if they're actually going to use them for anything. Will it be used for prototyping a figure? Will it make an appearance as an unlockable in a game? It'd be nice if they'd apply color to it some time (we finally got to see Gigangelion in color after all those scans of the white prototype, so.. maybe). Bah, it's likely just so we can grasp what it looks like easier - Yamashita's color artwork of it is so detailed it's sometimes a little hard to comprehend visually.

I look forward to the rest of the scans when you get time, TMB_H :)
