I think it was an Atari 2600, although I only vaguely recall it. The one memory that stands out is that I would always try to lasso the cow skulls in Stampede.

I out do you. I had a supervision (the one on the left)

What I think classes it as a console was the fact it has a tv mount so you could plug it in and play games on the tv in colour. I still have it someware.

I didn't know you were a caveman. Did you also have a pet dinosaur?

I think my first console was either a Nintendo 64 or a PlayStation one.

Lucky, lol. I always wanted a PlayStation, then I got a PLAYSTATION ONE from me neighbors just before the ps3 was coming out xD.

I just threw it away because I knew I would never find any games for it.

Pretty much any place that sells games.

PS1 has -tons- of great games floating around out in the bargain bins if you're not a complete graphics whore.

Also on the topic of games, I remember the good ol' days of trying to shoot that stupid laughing dog when the ducks flew away, it's a shame you weren't allowed to do that. -_-; (I'll give you an internet if you get the reference.)

I still own my Gameboy, I own all of them even the SP one. My GBC still works and I still used to play a few games that work well on my DS.
