Quote from a German Poem/song translated in to English:

"All your Thoughts are free, who will ever be able to reach them?
They Flying around you, like nightly dark Figures.
No one can ever see them, no Hunter can shoot them..
So for forever it be, All those thoughts shall be free..."

I try to translate as good as possibly with rhimes if my english allowed that.

I hope you got what i try to say with that ;)

Double posting isn't a good thing on forums.
It tends to annoy others. It does not annoy me but it would annoy others.

I like you already. You have a promising future here.

Then how does everyone have fresh new memories of a new Second Impact and onward, which would take 15 years? How are there new Angels? They're not even made of LCL. Why does no one have any memories of the original series? Coming back from LCL doesn't give you amnesia.

I think Shinji is the missing Angel.

See him learning Ayanami's name in a dream.
See the boxes on the moon.
See his admitted apathy during the fight with Ramiel.

That new?

It screams of Re-Take, but that theory has been mentioned before as well.

Kaworu does.

Prove it. Knowing Shinji doesn't mean he remembers an entire previous universe.

I think Shinji is the missing Angel.

See: him learning Ayanami's name in a dream.
See: the boxes on the moon.
See: his admitted apathy during the fight with Ramiel.

That new?

Not unusual at all. Multiple angelic intelligences, Rei included, make psychic contact with Shinji throughout the series.

The boxes on the Moon don't say anything one way or another.

Shinji? Apathetic? OH MY GOD NO WAY.

I was half joking about Kaworu knowing what's going on.

Personally I think it is a sequel, and at least Kaworu and Gendo know something about it, but that's just a personal feeling.

And don't forget that Toji was able to catch a ride on Shinji's dream train during their time together in the hospital.

Toji WAS recently infected by an Angel. Touching those things tend to make you hallucinate visions that teach you cosmic truths and stuff.

I never thought Toji might have been infected. I still don't, but it would make sense.

It was atleast attempted, since the infection got inside the cockpit and fungi-stuff made contact with him.

I don't remember that. I remember the plug having veins on it, but not Toji.

Gives another possible reason for his amputation though.

I think that was just a "side effect" of Eva-01 doing this:

I do find it hilarious that anyone here thinks they definitively know what's going one, whether in the original series or rebuild.

I can't help think of Beckett's Waiting for Godot. If you think you understood it, you never understood it in the first place.

Like returning from LCL would have a definitive time frame, or outcome. ha.

That being said, I'm hoping its going to be inferred that this is a sequel. I just couldn't think of a better way to do this entire project.

Who here thinks that? Vague insinuations are unnecessary; you may as well point at the actual offenders and laugh.

One way to curb this problem is to litter every square micrometer of one's Eva-related writings with conditionals. I do this a certain percentage of the time (partially due to a traumatic experience in the past where I was tarred and feathered for being an obnoxious know-it-all, which I arguably still am). Although it is awfully nice to be able to communicate without stumbling over an endless stream of "seems" and "perhaps" and "it appears that" and "presumably" and "conceivably" and etc., etc., without someone assuming that you think what you're saying is some kind of inalienable truth.

Not to mention we don't really "know anything for sure" about, well, pretty much anything. (Presumably.)

I can't help think of Beckett's Waiting for Godot. If you think you understood it, you never understood it in the first place.

Isn't that sort of ... contradictory? If believing you understood it means you didn't understand it, then some anonymous subset had to first understand the work enough to decide "thinking you understand it = not understanding it", which by implication means that they don't understand it either and can't decide how much others did or did not understand it. (Unless I'm missing something, which I quite possible, since I have no idea what Waiting for Godot is.) Ugh... My brain hurts now.

I'm hoping its going to be inferred that this is a sequel

Hasn't this already been "inferred" (depending on who you ask)?
