Let's hope to know something more/new with the fantomatic teaser next week....but i think that EVA-05 will have some kind of "exotic" solution in place of a pair of legs.....

It reeks of battle with underground angel. I dunno, I'll be very interested to see how this new Unit fits in with the whole plot. I mean, the drills are perfectly viable as weapons, possibly for tearing through AT fields.

With a reduced number of angels, a new EVA unit, a new character and only 90 minutes to use, the plot will be surely a little different (at least)....by the way, returning to the EVA-05 design, do you think that the element with the elliptic orange light is lateral or behind the head?

eva 5 is also moving forward in the tunnel, not up. that probably would indicate either an underground battle/one inside the geofront

Perhaps the drills on Unit-05 are detachable, and it's only a special thing used for a particular purpose. Like Unit-02's D-type Suit in the Magma Diver episode.

Well if we consider the fact that the Evas seem to be modular in some respects, it is entirely possible that the arms we see are simply a 'peripheral' of some sort. On reflection, I'm not sure how it would fit into a cage, considering the arm restraints are designed to conform to a specific shape.

About the EVA-04, probably we'll see it for a pair of seconds...and maybe even the EVA-05 won't have a major role...at this point everything depends on the role/importance of the new character in the story (if she is a pilot).....EVA-05 could be an emergency initiative necessary after the loss of the two american built units....

Eva-05 looks like it's crouching in that one image (i.e. on a moving platform).

Pretty sure it's behind the head.

Yes, the "theory" about other solutions substitutives for the legs is probably unrealistic....these "solutions" could be a major limitation for the action...

I based my comment on the fact that, towards the end of the cut, you can see highlighting on the ventral surfaces of what appear to be two shapely Eva thighs, splayed as if crouching. But you have to look really, really hard.

These designs are interesting, though a bit derivative. There's something about them that doesn't seem right - trying too hard to look like an Eva maybe?

The halo is probably connected with the flight capability....even Sachiel developed a sort of halo when she "take-off" to land on the crashed VTOL. Both results of the AT field...
