It's not something I can narrow down to just one; different characters at different times do things that make me feel "yes, that'd be me". So, to varying degrees, Rei, Asuka and Fuyutsuki (so it's probably just as well that SEELE08 has moved on).

I think I would relate most to Shinji actually...
I don't really trust others and I am a loner...
Also not that much self confidence and I don't like most of the people that I know.
And I am not so good when it comes to meeting or talking with people I don't know or don't really know...
And I can be just as stubborn as Asuka.
Although I don't stay in a corner and listen to my mp3 and I don't hate my father or family.

Arrogant and stubborn.
Same, Asuka. I also do things sometime just to get people's attentions, I hate to admit. Also I believe that most everyone are idiots and they don't deserve anything.

Shinji and Rei. I related to Rei most strongly when I was a kid because I was ridiculously quiet and anti-social. If you can imagine the way Rei was when she was in school, and then picture her as an American boy then that was me. I actually have friends now but there's still a bit of the Rei in me.
I can relate to Shinji because no matter what I do, where I go, and what I accomplish, I always feel like I've failed and that there's something intrinsically wrong with me that keeps me from becoming a better and stronger man.
Isn't it funny how Eva really speaks to the most fucked up and insecure people?

I think Hyouga is probably the closest to me in NGE, though I've definately got some tendencies of Gendo and Aoba as well.

I'm similar to Shinji in the anti-social area, but that is all, and that is a stretch on Shinji's character anyway. He's only afraid to be with people but wants to be with people too (which isn't anti-social). Other than that, all the characters are too human (while I am a blank slate) to relate to.
Not a single fucking one, thank God.
EVANGERIONANIME is stupid

Actually, I relate well to Pen-Pen, I like to eat, sleep and want to live with a hot older woman.

I relate to both Shinji and Asuka.
I'm introverted like Shinji, have his lack of self-worth, his fright and compulsion to run away from things.
I have Asuka's temper (perhaps I'm even MORE hotheaded than her); I think so much less of other people; I feel like I hate everyone at times; I'm so picky when it comes to the opposite sex that I barely notice or care about most boys (when she stepped on her secret admirer letters that reminded me so much of something I'd do). We're both misunderstood, we both use the same tactics in trying to get a boy to notice us (I'm not bitchy to the guy I care about, but I'll do some things that Asuka does to try to get Shinji to act). We get jealous of those who get ahead of us, especially in something we're known for being the best at, and we're both jealous of the guy we secretly care for at the same time. The only differences between us is her extraversion and her wish to be an adult.
Oh yeah. I also suffer from depression, so that's very telling of why I relate to the two so much. I've had periods of complete inertia also, just lying in bed for days.

Eva-01/Shogouki. Why? Because when I get pissed, I go around destroying things in a similar manner, up to and occasionally including biting the things that I am destroying.
Dead serious.

I relate most to an off-screen character: Maya's lesbian lover. Come on, you know she exists.
Awesomely Shitty
