Scooby-Doo wrote:(what is the NGE "Collector's Disc" anyway? official liscensed or not, I assume they are no longer obtainable?)
Totally official. They're multimedia hybrid CDs. Aside from the sw33t pict4rz, they're got screensavers, mini-games, and other stuff on them, but I haven't figured out how to get them to actually run so I can access that stuff. (I've just gone directly into the directory for images and done the copy + paste thing.) Looking at Gainax.net, it turns out there is a Vol. 7 I'm missing -- "mu-tha fu--!!!" -- and they're not available through the "Eva Store", either.
And... oh yeah.
Neon Genesis Evangelion Collector's Disc, Volume 2 (Part 3/4)

It's a parody of one of the OP sequences for "Kodomo no Omocha", wherein the cast were doing this funky dance. The fact that real human beings (including dudes dressed up as Gendo and a lizard) can do this dance is a very impressive feat.
I have both "Kodomo no Evangelion" movies in hi-qual, if they ever need to be posted again.

That's Yuji Kobayashi, who's also done some doujinshi.
I'm sure an googling his name will result in tons of images or sites with his images.

Well, yeah, but honestly, since when has comfort (or any even remotely practical consideration whatsoever) been an issue in anime fashion?
As for the artist in question, he seems to have done a bit of a "theme" with Eva girls and umbrellas...I found one pic he did of Rei standing under an umbrella (not to mention that Asuka seems to brandish an unopened umbrella in the "race girl" pic Shin-seiki posted).
Out of curiosity, during my suggested Google search I stumbled across this more "traditional" art site; is it the same guy?

Yeah, I rescind that statement about it being an easy Google search. I didn't realize that there was another artist (who does more traditional art and performance art) with the same name. It was actually more difficult to find repositories of his work (as opposed to just an image posted somewhere in some forum). Here's a link to the CD ROM http://www.animenation.com/dw002.html
