Well, I'm permanently broke (money reserved for Eva, and Madlax...). Anyway, Mags is shorter. Plus you said you liked it in another thread, so...kills two birds w/ one stone!

Why not? Key is just as depressing as the worst parts of Eva, and I'm sure they can work some of the ****ed up stuff in somehow. Hell, isn't Key meant to be Rei in any case?

Um, since when did Rei believe that she was a robot? And Rei's hair doesn't sporadically change color so that she can enact miracles and stuff. From what little I remember of the show (need to watch it again), they have nothing in common aside from the fact that they're both chicks (with weird powers they're not normally aware of) who talk in monotone.

And unlike Rei, I actually remember liking Key.

Well, Key: The Metal Idol came out before Eva so…

I also don’t think the characters are very comparable.

Seriously, tho, I'd have to watch "Key" again to reassess the character. I just remember that Rei annoys me, but Key did not. Ergo, Rei < Key.

I just find it odd seeing as how the things you hate about Rei seems to me to be magnified in Key.

Though I haven’t seen the show in quite some time either so perhaps I am mistaken.

I wasn't aware that characters could only be likeable if they lacked naivete.

And for the record, Rei is "stupid" enough to base all of her value as a person solely on her relationships with, like, two people. So, nya~.
