That box just cinched that I'll be buying the series a second time.

Double post, I know, which is bad, but I have new news.

According to ANN

Mikhail Koulikov wrote:At this point, a special guest, voice actor Yuri Lowenthal, joined the panel. One of the shows he is currently working on for Bandai is Gainax's Gurren Lagann, and he used the opportunity to show off the box that the dual-language release of the futuristic robot series will come in. The special edition box will contain two DVDs with the first nine episodes of the show. The top of the box will swing open along one of the narrower sides, forming a robot mouth. Among the extras included with the box will be a replica of the core drill that Simon uses to start Gurren Lagann's titular robot. As Bandai announced earlier in the year, Gurren Lagann's bilingual release is on track for the first months of the next year.

What the hell? They push it forward, and then push it back again?

Though, knowing more about the box, I want it even more.

Dub of Clips show episode 6 on last night:

The edits I noticed for those curious:

~Boob train (Ornette has a gif of it) was shown, but a bright pink light covered the Gainax Bouncing breasts.

~Shots of Kamina's ass was blurred.

~A shot of Kamina's ass removed his uh crack.

~Kamina and Simon trying to sneak a peek at the girls as well as Yoko saying how Simon's a nice guy was cut (other scenes were too).

~Any other ones that happened, I didn't notice. By the way, I have no idea if cut episode 6 (I've only seen uncut 6) had the exact same edits or if some things were edited for US board cast.

~Leeron still sucks. (Joking) Yoko and the others whaling on the Gainax girls is still wrong though. T_T

EDIT:
~Yoko underboob was kept, but when her top finally falls out, that was cut.

The scene you mentioned was only in the uncut version anyway.

I didn't see it. I'm assuming they left out the Yoko underboob shot, right?

How do they pronounce Simon's name in the dub?

Barinax: Dub says it See-moan instead of Shimon.

NAW: edited my post to include what they did about Yoko.

SSD, what you saw was basically the OA version of it in Japan, except the butts were not fuzzed out.

So I just watched episodes 1-3 and I liked it quite a bit. Waiting for 4-6 to finish downloading. Can someone tell me when it plays Mondays on the Sci-fi channel in central time?

Theoretically, Monday, at 11 pm and 11:30 pm, though I've noticed that this coming Monday is the last day they air it? They will be showing 7 and 8.

Also, according to The Click, on ANN, Now and Then, Here and There has been moved to Tuesday, or at least it was this week.

Hmmm. Well I might as well keep downloading episodes as they get put up as torrents if it is going to end on tv.

There are like 27 episode in the series, correct? And I have only seen 3 episodes, and it is going to end on Monday if I am not mistaken. So I have no choice but to keep downloading it on the internet, now do I.

So I have no choice but to buy it from the store since episodes 1-18 are already available for really cheap from most major retail outlets that sell anime, and episodes 19-27 will be released in a few weeks (9/2/08).
