In 1.0 Rei reads a book next to Shinji while he's recovering from being hit with Ramiel's particle beam - it's different to the one in episode #9 of the TV series.

I was watching episode 8 today and noticing he is kind of scrawny looking. His body is really not worth obsessing over, and he does not have an attractive personality.

And I looked at the drawing of Rei with the book right before the last battle in the movie, and the pages were completely blank.


The most interesting thing about this Groundwork of Evangelion book is telling the difference in the character designs between the new movie and the old show. They all look like the characters from the show with only a few major differences. I'll upload that later along with tons of Kaworu.

That seems really odd since in episode 6 he looks pretty muscular. Off-topic, a bit, does Rei have bigger breasts in Rebuild, 'cause I can't tell.

I think Rei has a bigger butt and thighs, and Asuka will have a larger bust in the next one( or so I hope...)

You know, I'm still looking for both the Movie book 2 and the Groundwork volume 3. For some reason those seem to be impossible to find.

I don't buy art books for pr0nz. Actually, I don't buy artbooks, period.

I'm not really that into them.

I like buying art books but art/drawing/animation/design is something I want to do for a living so I'd get a lot of use out of them, I just wish I could find groundworks 3 for less, I don't mind the 40 for 1+2 but 3 the only one I've found is like 200 dollars which is a little steep, not to mention the movie one's as well same story ><

If Rebuild was made by Khara (a fact that Reichu is constantly pointing out) why is Gainax labelled all over the Groundwork of 1.0 book?

Probably because Eva is Gainax's intellectual property. One of the key hints that there were going to be new movies a few years ago was that a "Khara" mysteriously appeared on Gainax's website as a license holder.

Because Gainax published the book. And they're a copyright holder, like Ornette said.

In 1.0, Gainax is basically credited for their involvement in the original anime, and that's it.
