BastardKing: That IS awesome. :leekspin:

Anyway, I'll probably buy GL down the road, maybe as that duel boxset thing. Still, it's good to know Vol.2 's better quality then Vol.1.

Feeling horrendously embarassed about my purchase as I stood in line, I finally reach the register and handed it to the guy. Cashier took one look at it, looked at me and said "Do the impossible!". Awesomed out, I of course respond "Kick reason to the curb!", and over in one of the other more distant registers I hear someone shout "That's the way of our Dai-Gurren Brigade!".
That's the best thing I ever read. The closest experience I've had was when the cashier at Suncoast congratulate me on my purchase when I was buying the Platinum NGE set and then briefly recount his experience with the series, but that's about it.

Wow, apparently Yamaga was serious about continuing to make TTGL into the distant future.

What does this mean? The story's been told! Are they just going to retell it over and over, or will they keep adding new adventures for elderly Simon?

It's the only thing I use a credit card for these days -- and the $/€ exchange rate at the moment means it's way cheaper for you to buy from the States than locally.

@NAveryW
Well, there's the advetures of Darry and company when they set out in their fleet of Laganns -- and maybe even the Gimmy-as-GARlock hypothesis may turn out to have validity.

They don't have credit cards issued through banks over there? You use the credit card and the money is taken out of your checking account. No bills and no paper. Even my American Express card is paid through my bank directly, you can do it online and every month I just click on "pay bill".

I expect many, many AU stories. They'll definitely make something with Simon GARlock, for example. And the new movies. And more Parallel Works. And the GoS2 manga. etc, etc. Gainax Cash Cow stuff.

Does your country do Check Cards? I just use mine as a Check Card instead of ever getting a Credit Card (I have no intention of ever getting a credit card.

I broke down and bought vol. 2 today. Episode 11 made me cry, again...

Now to watch ep 12

btw, ep 10 and 11's ED are not subtitled on my copy, but the OP is.

Episode 16's ending is subbed. But that's the only one.

Probably because they already subbed the insert song, which was later used as 16's ED. Laziness ftw?

I just had mine cover-down. The barcode was on the back, and the cashier wasn't altogether too interested in my purchase.

-the only English language novel actually being developed in parallel to its Japanese version involving a pan-human Soviet in a galactic struggle to survive and to export the communist utopia/revolution to all the down trodden alien class and race- one of the premise being that Khrushchev remains and has abandoned Lysenko stupidity
