honestly, it's not that complicated. you could probably make it in about thirty minutes--maybe an hour if you're really meticulous.

This isn't even something unique to Evangelion. Misato's cross is simply a white greek cross:

If you look around you may be able to find something similar. I think Gainax released a small silver pendant but I haven't seen it sold anywhere.

Actually I posted that item in some other thread; it was made for Rebuild.

But the thing is SO expensive: about $200 if I remember correctly. O_o

The only online store I saw it at; it was already sold out; and this was when it was still being pre-ordered only!

The cross just doesn't cut it alone, you also need a huge scar to complete the look.

Looks like the bastard child of the cross from the TV show and the one from EoE.

I want one that looks exactly like the close-up image in episode 12. Of course, it would always be Akira's cross to me...

To think it would be sooo hard for me to find a simple little cross lol

I thought someone on ebay would be cranking out the fakes! I would buy the one from the eva store but I don't think they ship to the UK :-(

Even if they did it cost's a looooottttt lol

Not a bad idea, ask folks you know if they know anyone who works with metal and get in contact with them. While I was working as a watch technician the folks out back could knock something up from a chunk of metal on their lathes &ca in no time.

The cross always looked more like it was made of ivory (of some origin) or a synthetic substitute, rather than being a white metal -- it's too thick for a metal ornament, and is never drawn to look metallic.

It could even be ordinary plastic.

Er...wait. Meaning the cross changes it's size/design just like the Eva do?

I...never noticed that.

iirc the one in the TV series sometimes looked more like a chunky Latin cross whereas the one elsewhere in EOE looks like a regular Greek cross.

Maybe if the woman who does Misato's Japanese voice actually wore every available cross for awhile, then maybe it'd have some legit value.

It may be a cheap material painted to look like ivory or something.
