Long distance relationships

Damn i must sound pathetic for bringing this but what are you guys thoughts on them? In my opinion it could work as long as there is a clear goal to eventually meet up and be together in real life.

Depends how far apart you are. If you are within driving distance and can see each other every couple of weeks or so, it can work. If you're so far apart you rarely see each other, it's doubtful you'll stay together.

Long term relationships also occur when people have met, then have to seperate.

Looking at the experience of another, they don't work.

A while back, I knew a woman online who had several long-distance relationships over the internet. None of them worked out for over a few months, though, and she moved onto a new one almost immediately after the previous one ended.

Hm... I was in one for a few weeks shy of three years. It was pretty solid for the first 2 years or so but it deteriorated after that. Still, it ended on (fairly) good terms, and we're still friends today. Well, maybe slightly a bit more, but nowhere near "couple" status. I think one of the things that had it not work out is we never got to meet in person. Let that be a lesson, kiddos. :kaos_teehee:

My GF lives in NYC. We've been dating for over 10 years, but she lived here for a while, and in Virginia for a while, and in New Jersey for a while. I drive out to NYC every couple of months and stay there for a month or 2. No problems.

I tried once. The girl lived 20 miles away from me. We did not see eachother once...Then after we broke up we see eachother occasionally. We're still friends. I wish I lived in town and went to a real high school.

I don't think it counts as a relationship if you've never met.

On second thought.....

I am currently in a long term relationship with Faye Valentine, Haruhi Suzumiya, and Aoi Sakuraba, all at the same time. But they don't know about each other. Nobody tell, ok?
