Go to Barnes and Nobles, and order it online. That is where I got mine from. As for stores, I still have not seen it carried in the two local chains in my area i.e. Barnes and nobles (weird that they sell it online, but not in their stores) and Borders.

Thank you for the info. I figured that if the B & N store itself did not have it in stock, the website wouldn't either. I will try that and see what occurs.

MidtownComics have it. Type "Evangelion" into the search and check the bottom of the page it offers, it should be the last entry.

I haven't in the two chain stores I mentioned earlier, and I have also visited about three specialties stores in my area and haven't found it at them either. Found Steel Angel Kurumi 9  at Borders though, and I didn't even know that one existed. Which is a bad omen because I have seen a lot of Manga's with a later release date than Eva 9 on the shelves, but no Eva.

By the way if you want to find bigfoot, go up to the Rocky Mountain forests around the Washington/Canadian border. They Exist

I saw it at Suncoast in the Del Amo mall. Bought it online, though.

For all the Manga that's available, and for all the indications that Manga is now a mass medium, and has a wide distribution, this is certainly baffling.

Really makes me greatful to have connections to get stuff before it comes out... or IF it comes out for that matter.

Maybe some Ãœber-otaku in the backwoods of Alabama bought up the entire shipment.

I got the manga from Right Stuf a couple weeks back. I just had to give up on the local bookstores around Podunk Holler to get them in.

Ah, that's the Wizard Press style. I learned the phrase "He who denied it, supplied it" from reading their magazines.

I have been trying to find out what's up with the mysterious lack of availability of Volume 9, but no answers yet. Carl Gustav Horn is searching for the truth. Pray he doesn't find it.

The guy at the comic store said he could order it for me but it'll take a week.

as for why their late I though you knew the company that puts it over here merged with another comapny. This created the lack of manga for we american fans.

I find it difficult to understand how the merging of two companies can cause so much havoc within distribution systems.

I really don't know as yet, but I'm not sure about that explanation either, as the merger happened some time before the release of Vol. 9.

YAMAGA: If you leave out HONNEAMISE, the productions that really are my own work would be GUNBUSTER and OTAKU NO VIDEO. That, plus a music video for a rock band...

M: For Fence of Defence?

YAMAGA: Right.

M: What was the song?

YAMAGA: I can’t remember the title...[“Data No. 6” ?] but I may have it around here someplace...[LOOKS UNSUCCESSFULLY]

M: What of your own personality or style were you able to put into the music video?

YAMAGA: It was my directing style, 100%. I didn’t much care for the music itself, though.

M: What was the concept for the video?

YAMAGA: Hmm, that’s a tough one...I’m not sure how to describe it. But simply put, you know the opening of EVANGELION? If you take out the characters, the video was quite similar...Anno used it as a considerable reference in designing the EVA opening.
