How many times have you watched Eva consecutively?
By that I mean .. how many times have you ever watched the entire series plus EoE (rinse, and repeat XD) back-to-back before you finally said enough is enough?
I think I'm on my fourth time through in week. That is, I don't have control of the TV all day, so I watch it while I work at night and then pick up the following evening when everyone goes upstairs again. But whenever I have the TV, I pop in Eva. I dunno why I can keep going through over and over without getting tired of it, but I think it's because I go through systematically and try to pick out all the flaws and little details I read about, but never noticed. And I find I get a kick out of the dialogue now, because I almost know some of the episodes word for word. XD
So? What was your longest Eva spree?

Mostly the same as Ornette, except I had EoE available during my first viewing (albeit a shit nth-generation bootleg). I barely ever watch NGE all the way through since I get so much "overexposure" to it due to fandom. If I didn't, I'd probably just sit through the whole thing on a periodic basis, then shelve it for months.

I watched it all the way through 3 times before I got online and started reading about it. By that time, my urge to watch had been cooled and urge to discuss got heated, and I think I've only seen a few more times since then.

I've done the marathon thing once. All episodes + teh movies. I've never watched the series more than one time in succession though.

It doesn't sound like you mean "watched in one sitting" but "watched beginning to end"
I've done this 3 times....but keep in mind, I do watch 3-4 episodes at a stretch, out of order, every week or two when I'm looking for specific info.

Who is "Codename V"?....
I'm pleased to meet you and I hope you guessed my name, but what's puzzling you, is the nature of my game...so catch me if you can!! (0:50)

I never watched the entire series plus the movies in the same week, let alone in one sitting.
Same as others here, when I first watched the series in VHS, EoE was kind of hard to find and only crappy bootleg VHS. I mostly watched from episodes 19 to 24 all the time, and EoE.
Recently I've watched Renewal, all 26 TV episodes in one week, something I haven't done before and the 2nd time I watched the entire series (in order). Oh and it was also the first time I saw the director's cuts.

death and
Well I've seen it maybe four or five times in the past two years altogether, months inbetween. Why would I want to start right over after finishing it? That just detract from the replay value.

And another the same as Ornette -- closest to back-to-back was watching EoE, dub first then sub on two consecutive days almost 4 years ago, and not again since.

One complete watching at a time was quite enough for me. Never done repeated tries and I don't really want too.

This thread says something about myself. I don't if it's good or bad. XD
I guess I'm just weird, since I'm able to watch it so many times, without skipping around.
I know it doesn't make any sense to go through and then go right around and start over again, but I honestly got something else out of it each time -- other than something to keep me busy.
For some reason I would miss things I hadn't noticed the first time I saw it ever, or the fourth time I ever saw it, or things I didn't notice when I watched an episode the day before. Perhaps it doesn't work for everyone, because your brains are probably working at full efficiency. XD

Just once. When I got the Platinum set, a friend and I watched the whole series, then Death, then EoE in the span of about two weeks. We watched five or six episodes at a time.
Back in the VHS days, I watched the whole series - without EoE - over a longer period of time (maybe a month or so).

maybe i would've been something you'd be good at.
