Are you sure the picture isn't distorted? Isn't it supposed to be 16/9 originally?
If it's the case, then by "compressing" the picture the eva looks much more normal, especially when it comes to the legs. All evas have legs like that, and don't say no, I'm closely looking right now at all my SPEC evas, and it's the case.

Whatever the torso is doing, I don't like it.
I'm expecting this thing to pull out the Magorox and Counter Sword at some point. And perhaps to go around "assimilating" previous Evas with its, uh, stinger to receive "upgrades". It also defeats Angels by stabbing them and pumping out their biomass, which has the benefit of increasing its Power Level.
But Jet Alone had a big, doofy smile, not a visor.

Er...it would be useful for stabbing, yeah, but they should make it longer. Long enough to stab and injure any Angel/enemy but short enough to not hinder the Eva's movement.
Anyway, wouldn't the stinger be useless against Angels with the A.T Field deployed? And if you're trying to "push" it into the Angel's flesh, you're going to have to use a lot of strength to "push" it through the A.T Field. Don't take this the wrong way, though.

That's why you neutralize it first.

Now that I think of it, the only way for the Eva to actually "use" that "stinger" is to actually bend down, butt facing the Angel, then you run backwards and :stab:.
Although, I can think of one more effective use for this weapon if the animators made it so it can move about. So, when the Eva is running forwards, you stick the "stinger" into the Angel's core. And, again, don't take this the wrong way. :P

...I still reckon that's just a standard Eva cod-peice, with a slightly pointier design, but meh.
