Topic name changed to better fit what we currently have.

Word.

Would anyone else here be interested in starting up a text-based RPG on the Forums? They're quite fun IMHO. A bit like fan fiction, but they move much more quickly.

What's needed are plots, characters, and ground rules. So, anyone have ideas? Let's make this fawesome!

Any plot ideas? There's always 'Post 3I' or an AU one. I'm actually kinda short on plots right now... ><

I call Gendo. Would call Kaji but I played him last time I did this sort of thing.

Possible plots:
All of the angels arrive at Shinji's school for their daily lesson.
If not, then something about fem-kaworu dating sim or something.

Perhaps we could add original/fan characters to spice things up. But I like Ironfoot's idea that it could be a situation where Angels and Lilim co-exist.

I've never done this before, so I don't really know what needs to happen. Although, don't turn this into another story thread like in chit-chat, or else it'll get locked.

This one won't have single sentences to go on. It's pretty much a text-based role-play, compete with storylines and paragraphs. We all choose who we want to be. It's pretty much you helping to create a story while acting as one of the characters!

For rules, I say plants are able to think what's on their mind, like "I sit in the bathroom, watching Shinji get naked again."

I have over 6 years experience with this sort of thing in other places, though I haven't RPed on a forum in quite some time, I mainly do stuff with the group I'm in on AIM, and freeform IM-based RP is a bit different than forum style.

Very interesting that a topic like this would come up around here.

I'll be Eva-01, whose height now fluctuates between 2 and 200 meters, and who goes out of control so frequently she's calmed down and figured out how to speak Japanese again. She's petitioning Nerv to reduce her restraints in exchange for good behavior. Additionally, she's attempting to spend more time with Shinji and Gendo, and to kill Ritsuko as part of her plan to sexually reclaim Gendo.

Alternatively, I'll be the ghost of Dr. Katsuragi, who finally escapes the purgatory of the South Pole and reaches Tokyo-3. Rei is the only one who sees him, but, with her help, Misato and the others learn how to see ghosts, too. Now, if only he could get his body back... (Or, considering his daughter's personal problems, does he really want to?)

I'll be Nerv technician B who seems to have problems of his own but is overlooked by everyone else because he's just some extra they felt like putting in and does nothing to contribute to the storyline....or so they think.

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away we did this. It was before most of the current people on this board were here and the thread has been locked and sent to the graveyard. But if you want a reference on how to (or more accurately how not to) This was this board's first attempt at an Eva RPG. God I hope I didn't post in that thing.

And since Ornette already got the best role in the whole damn show I guess I will have to settle for PenPen.

Heh, cool, this thing is actually starting to come together! ^^

So, we have a plot:
AU Evangelion, where the Lilim/Humans, Angels, and the now self-aware Evas are trying their best to co-exist with each other in Tokyo-3.
(We could add North America as a second locale, if anyone wants to.)

And character assignments, so far:
BrikHaus- fem-Kaworu
SSD- Shinji
Ironfoot- Gendo, Iruel
Ornette- the WC plant
Reichu- Eva-01 and/or Dr. Katsuragi
Tokpile- NERV Tech B
BobBQ- Smith
Anti(me)- Sachiel, Eva (new tenant in Rei's apartment building, not an Evangelion or Children)
Shiro- Asuka
jenova7- Fuyutsuki
chee- Kaji
Zugzwang- Rei
Hunter21- Arael, PenPen

Now, do we want this to be a script format, or paragraph format, like a story?
