Hehe... They are beauts, aren't they? (Please, nobody look up my audio system as I feel you'll think I'm insane).

TriLink wrote:@ Jimbo- That's a bad-ass beard you've got there! I've always wanted to grow one like that, but my job doesn't allow facial hair.
Thanks! What job won't allow you to grow one? I actually started growing it because I got too lazy to shave, but then I got used to it and it kinda stuck.

Tokpile Quohog wrote:How did you come to acquire that beauty?
While I'm not a big fan of humbuckers or les pauls, that thing is a beauty. The sexy binding, gold hardware, trapezoidal inlays. /drool......
I was hooked on LPs ever since I saw Slash and Jimmy Page playing them. It was true love ever since. I found that one online through a great eBay seller who gave me a great deal on it new. I think LP Customs go for about $3300+ now and I got that a few years ago for $2k new. It was a real bargain. The only work I've had on it is installing BareKnuckles pickups (Mule in bridge, Stormy Monday in neck). It now sounds as killer as it looks. I play through a Bad Cat Hot Cat 15 btw.

Tokpile Quohog wrote:Oh and regarding the wearing of guitar tshirts, I told myself to never ever buy a shirt with guitar related images on it thanks to the people who "model" the shirt in catalogs and stuff.
I didn't buy that one. My parents got it for me for a Christmas present last year and my mom took these pictures so I thought I'd wear it for her ya know...

I'm manager of the Dairy Department at a local grocery store. It's kind of a fancy place as far as grocery stores go, so they only allow the employee's to grow mustaches. As a result, half the guys in the store have either Sanchez's or Pornstaches.

When I leave my job next month, I'm planning to grow a beard of my own. Shaving sucks.

@ Maggot Master: Let me guess: You're the bag of Doritos, right? (Also, what the hell are those other things? Lobsters? Crappeople? Needs moar maggots.)

And people actually think I look cute? Cool. ^_^

@ Yojimbo: Dress up like Asuka's father "pulling a Gendo" (whatever that would entail). Do it. DO IT NOW. Also, the last pic was made of LULZ.

@ Brik: Aren't you like, only 25 or something? Also, your pic of the guy with the....thing...on his face was amusing.

(I'm tried yet slightly hyper at the moment today.)

I HEREBY DECLARE PEOPLE MUST DO EVANGELION-ISH POSES OR THINGS WHEN POSTING PICS IN THIS THREAD.

Seconded. SSD, You must watch Alien and Aliens as soon as possible. If you cannot, download poor-quality mp3s of Jerry Goldsmith and James Horner's soundtracks and get high off of paint thinner with the lights dimmed while listening.

Oh, and avoid Alien: Resurrection and Aliens vs. Predator. Absolut suck.

Alien 3 was decent. Great score and cinematography/direction, mediocre plot and characterization. The ending's great, though.

Alien and Aliens were both great... but am I the only one who thought they were kinda Blade Runner meets 2001 meets Jaws? Not that that's a bad thing mind you...

That is a good description.

Except Alien came first and was from the same director as Blade Runner.

Duh. That's why it looks similar. Scott was also a huge Kubrick fan and has declared that 2001 is the best sci-fi film ever.

I dunno, your guitar is kind of lame.

Old and lame.

Someday, after years of practice, you'll be good enough to upgrade to a cool guitar like this one:

Sadly, I will never be a true guitar hero... Why? Because I spent all my money on a real guitar and can't afford the video game.

Has Kubrick ever made a genuinely BAD movie?

Of course not.
