Yet even in there going for 80's nostalgia this is going to back fire as I can't name one successful movie from that period with this theme because none of them were and the only mildly successful one was in the 90's which was freaky Friday but that was the daughter swapping with the mother but that was about different things, this concept falls flat for a reason because its always stereotyped can be very sexist and does not look at gender though any form of modern lens.
Its normally lazy fast writing with very little thought or effort surrounding the real world issues both men and women can suffer due to there genders or them breaking away or going against the system or questioning there roles in it and focusing purely on the romance instead of making romance a facet element and letting the characters learn and grow through each other.
