Caching. Some browsers cache more aggressively than others; for instance in Opera I now need to clear the cache to see a new banner - just refreshing the page is no longer enough as it used to be. Where to clear the cache varies between browsers, but Google will surely tell you. If you do nothing, I would expect it to change after a while, but it could be days.
