Scruffy hair, new glasses, artist's goatee; only feels right that now he can rock the Anno look, after all the crap he's been through...

Re: Metal Gear Solid
Holy shit is that logo for real? It looks awesome. And he's operating under that old moniker again! My understanding of IP law is that he can do that because it's his actual legal name.
I already miss his former look, personally, especially because I enjoyed him looking so much younger than he actually is (it gives hope to us all), but as with the new forum colors I expect I'll adjust a lot more quickly than I think.

Re: Metal Gear Solid
I hope the new IP is either the horror collaboration with del Toro and Junji Ito or a classy geopolitical mecha franchise. Actually, I'd also like to see a Kojima take on a samurai period piece.

Re: Metal Gear Solid
Here's some new info:
http://gematsu.com/2015/12/sony-publish ... -before-pc
Kojima has agreed to develop his first game as a PS4/PC-only game, and development is being supported by Sony Computer Entertainment. SCE (Sony Computer Entertainment) will be the publisher. The game will be "something completely new."

Re: Metal Gear Solid
I hope, whatever it is, that they sell it well with a really good trailer or playable teaser. Silent Hills wasn't super hype because it was a collaboration between Kojima, del Toro, and Norman Reedus (and Junji Ito but we didn't know it yet), it was super hype because P.T. was one of the best horror experiences ever made and it was just a demo.

Re: Metal Gear Solid
This just in: an interview with the man himself:
http://gematsu.com/2015/12/173160
Sounds like they're making a mech game of some sort. Kojima's explanation of the logo design was pretty interesting, and he really wants to work with del Toro in the future.

Re: Metal Gear Solid
Despite the holiday craziness, I managed to fix little errors in my MGSV-based fic! I'm damn proud of it overall, lack of reviews aside. Repost if anybody missed it:

Anywho, I'm very interested in seeing where Kojima and his new studio will be headed. Roman era mechas, perhaps?
Oh, here's an adorable EVA drawing by a new Internet friend of mine: http://milk-ko.deviantart.com/art/MGS3-EVA-575743756

Re: Metal Gear Solid
Sorry about not responding to your fic earlier, SSD, but I have read about half so far and it's really good. I like how you characterize Venom and Quiet and their relationship.

Re: Metal Gear Solid
No worries, I know the holidays are a busy time of year. Glad to hear you like the fic and their relationship so far
Also: I think this is my new favorite Quiet/Venom fic. Possible spoilers (haven't finished reading it yet) but they bond over 80's music.

Junji Ito was involved?! (insert usual anti-Konami rant here)

Re: Metal Gear Solid
Who here's a bad enough dude to write about Otacon's obsession with NGE? Or maybe Kaz is a closet otaku of something? Hop to it, EGF: http://archiveofourown.org/admin_posts/4579
Anywho, I have a slow-going (lol life) Quiet/Venom romance fic in the works. It'll be a hell of a lot shorter than my Elegia fic, just need to find the time to finish writing the sucker up.
Out of curiosity, just what did y'all name your Diamond Dogs custom emblems/etc? I hope to start up my own run soon, I'm thinking of with "Venom Butterfly" or "Quiet Venom" text, something cheesy and cute, for mine. Zap's is "Venom Butterfly". Still trying to think of a funny name but I think whoever on the Internet came up with "Sports Johnson" struck gold.

My PMC is named Omega XOF. Back when I first started using the butterfly emblem I named it Naked Chick to make Quiet feel more accepted and welcome.

Re: Metal Gear Solid
Vince Small-time and I shall rescue Kaz tomorrow, probably. Happy I got an A on Prologue (good time apparently) since I'm admittedly not the best at camera control modern games. I think I made the birthday March 1st for The Simpsons "lousy Smarch weather" joke. (I'm more of an SNES/PSX kind of girl.)
Is there a place to check your name/birthday settings on the iDroid? I know you can see the avatar/DD emblem.
