FML General Thread [6]

Yeah. You read right. This is for everything that doesn't have anything to do with Eva.

Pfft. Catholics have to go to a school to learn guilt. We Jews are born with it.

By the ultra-traditional definition, you're Jewish if your mother is Jewish. As you get less and less orthodox, the definition can include either parent being Jewish, or even being considered a 'true' Jew if you've converted.

In my case, both my parents are Jewish-- so I'm all set.

...Judaism is a national religion, tied to bloodline (generally, barring the Khazar incident and other curiosities), it's long been a matter of some dispute how and if at all a gentile can convert to Judaism.

My computer has been running through its battery faster than in the past and has been shutting down at 25% or even 30% power a lot of the time. Sometimes next week, I need to take it in and get it looked at because my command prompt found some corrupt files that it wasn't able to fix.

Laptop batteries generally need replacement every couple of years. Particularly if they aren't properly cycled. How old is the computer? You can generally find replacements, just Google the part number of the battery. They normally cost around $100 or so for an official (read: not a Won Hung Lo piece of shit) one.

Oh, goody-goody: anothet 0100 day tomorrow, God...f***ing damnit.

I wouldn't care so much if they assigned these jobs further out than twelve hours. Then I could actually plan around it, instead of having to adjust and drop my plans every frigging night.
Though, Gob still might look good in a cocktail dress.

Come read EVA Sessions! This place has it, too! There'll be pizza! Not really! There are other things, too! Not EVA Sessions! Did I mention the pizza!?

FML General Thread [7]: It All Returns to Nothing
Among the people who use the Internet, many are obtuse. Because they are locked in their rooms, they hang on to that vision which is spreading across the world. But this does not go beyond mere ‘data’. Data without analysis [thinking], which makes you think that you know everything. This complacency is nothing but a trap. Moreover, the sense of values that counters this notion is paralyzed by it.

And so we arrive at demagogy. - Hideaki Anno, 1996
