I love how there's only one episode out and it's already got a rating of 8.54.

Hmm. Not much got said in this thread about the second season!
Anyway, I'm starting to feel the anticipation for Hanamonogatari later this month...

So yeah watched the second season. I think out of the stories in that I liked Kabukimonogatari the best of them.

Felt the same way, but the series just has a way of expanding its characters with each plot arc. Even now, I feel like the show is only starting to hit its stride. I can't wait to see what we learn about Kanbaru in Hanamonogatari.
"The will to lose one's will?"
"Absolutely. The will to make oneself completely free. Will is the wrong word, because in the end you could call it despair. Because it really comes out of an absolute feeling of it's impossible to do these things, so I might as well just do anything. And out of this anything, one sees what happens."--Francis Bacon

Dammit, every episode of hana I have been able to find after ep 1 has like a minute chopped off the end of it. Anyone able to point me to where to find a version that doesn't have this issue?

Are you sure it's an issue? I see this in the blog of one of the fansub groups:
The OP and ED both only showed up once during the airing; at the beginning of episode one, and at the end of episode five — which is why the video abruptly cuts off at the end.
This is why one group has issued their version as a single movie, and others plan to when they're done with translating the "episodes".

Hanamonogatari was great and almost scary in how relevant it was to my own life. Favorite parts were:
1.The awkward almost-kiss scene between Rouka and Suruga. Really, I loved how crass Rouka was and that tension between them.
2.Koyomi, with his terrible haircut and his car. I didn't get why he is now so into Karen but the Pieta image of them was really funny.
3.Kaiki outrunning Suruga. The look on her face was priceless.
4.The scene where she falls down and is so happy that her arm hurts.
SPOILER: Show

Ok, I see what the issue was, anyway yeah hanamono was pretty cool, still liked kabuki a bit more though. It looks like when Kaiki died at the end of the previous arc that was a case of him admittadly being an unreliable narrator, either that or he was a ghost in this arc, though a ghost growing a beard seems kind of odd so I think that its more likely Kaiki was pulling a Kaiki here.

Well, we all know Owarimonogatari will happen starting October. But it seems Kizu is finally underway as well. So, even if there's no news on Eva final on 4th of October, there's at least something else to look forward to.

Why has Kizu been treated as such a special case?

All of the news has me giddy with anticipation. I never bothered to check out the VNs, so all I have to go on for Kizu- is this:
