I got my Evangelion 1.01 DVD!

Awesome!

So the inside has images of Rei and Shinji from the original Japanese DVD covers, right? Are they reversible so you can display it through the DVD case?

I really really hope Funi will release 1.11 as supposedly mentioned, I've got to own that! ><

Yup, you can reverse it if you want to. My brother and I are planning on getting the Blu''Rei" releases as well.

Coolness.... Did you get this in a store, or as a pre-order on Amazon or somesuch? I'm getting extremely itchy waiting for Nov. 17 and I've been wondering (read "hoping") if some places are doing "soft" releases, ie. putting it on the shelf before the official release date (I've had this happen with soon to be released books).

I got it at an anime store from the mall where I work. I just decided to check the store after I got out of work, and I saw it on the shelf.

I believe some places got it early since their are some stores or web sites that lets you get it a week before IIRC (Like some people got the Dragon Boxes a week before which comes out on the same day as the Rebuild 1.0 DVD).

Sadly, no. There's only trailers for other shows, nothing extra that's Eva related.

No extra at all ? like the making off included in the japanese version (making off might be misleading, i mean showing scenes from drawing to final version, or cg process)

I'll probably get this. Is it a waste of money, in all likelihood yes, but i got some money that I can burn and 15-20 dollars isn't that big a price anyway.

The problem is, the rental places around here are really bad about anime: one place even eliminated the category entirely (which is how I got a copy of EoE for five dollars). Hm. I could try NetFlix...

I'll probably get this since I really enjoy it when I saw it back in March and I can it again not a small screen. Once 1.11 comes out then I will sell this one and buy 1.11 with the money that I got when selling it.
