Anyway, since this is a variation of what happens after episode 24, I am somewhat confused. DID the Eva Series still attack, but Eva-01 didn't leave for space afterwards and Eva-02 wasn't destroyed?

Judging by some images eva-01 deals with the eva series with her f-type suit and kills them all before 3rd impact starts.

I thought that site I posted the link to recently said something about them disbanding/dissolving, but I could be remembering wrong. At least Nerv still seems to be around so they weren't affected by whatever happened (I hope).

that's February 2009, the latest chapter which came out in Japan no more than a week ago and isn't available to me locally yet. In that same thread one moonspeaking anon mentioned that those little wings Rei Six has are some kind of a rebreather system that allows longer stays in LCL.

Now you have all the back chapters of it. Only thing left to scan at the very moment is the November 2007 announcement page, and December 2007 2-page spread of some basic info about the project. Other than that, only the future chapters that come out.

But the first 13 should keep people busy for some time

I'll try to OCR all of them at a reasonable pace, but spending the last 2 weeks or so doing nothing but staring at the monitor for 17 hours a day has left me feeling pretty crappy so I'll take a small break.

Anima hasn't been released anywhere outside of Japan. That's why TMBountyHunter has been spending oodles of his Canadian dollars collecting the relevant issues of whatever magazine it's published in, to make raw Japanese scans available to the English-speaking community so interest in translation can be generated in the first place.

Please read (or at least scan over) the thread next time, and keep the CRUISE CONTROL!!! off except for when it's really funny.

I was following this topic whilst I lurked, but now I've signed up I wanted to thank you for your work in scanning this for us, TMBounty_Hunter. I really appreciate it as I'm enjoying the artwork and what little I can read in Anima. Thanks for including the GNN product pages too, I dig new merch info.

It's awesome to see the upgraded Evas, new weapons/equipment/pilot gear, the Rei and Zero clones, Armaros (Anima-06) and the JSDF mecha (that's my favourite part of spinoffs, new entities). I'd be really happy to see some new angels, though I suppose that's not plausible at this point of the timeline (then again it is a spinoff)... what was the deal with the 'Angel Carrier' MP Evas and their spiderweb 'cores'? Were angel parts in there? I remember a mechanical-looking hand emerging from one... was this abandoned in favour of these new diamond-shaped mystery parts? Hmm.

I'm still not sure how I feel about Allegorica - seems like noone in an 'official' position was happy with 02's design, with it being tinkered with for EoE and reworked for Rebuild and Anima (yet none appeal to me as much the original). We get the more oni-looking incarnation of 02 early on and now we get centaur-02 with the Allegorica mods and equipment. Weird.

January 2008 is the first proper chapter, I might pick up Nov+Dec 2007 with the short intros if I find them cheap.

Did you ever manage to find these? I really like the lineart on this thing that you linked to (Rei's hair looks a little longer at the back like Yui's, I love it) and would love to see a bigger version.

I thought I'd post these pictures that I've had for well over a year as they relate to Anima...

ANIMA/FIGURE STUFF
Okay, first take a look at this stuff taken from TMBH's Anima scans:
- Eva-01 in CQB (Close Quarters Battle) gear, gun without blade attachment + Bizenosafune sword, Eva-02 with sword

Now observe these:
- CQB figure/model: 1 | 2
I found these pics on DannyChoo's ages ago in with a bunch of toy fair photos, but there was no information supplied. Anyway, compare these shots to the scanned lineart - you can see the cameras on the horn and shoulder pylons, and the gun/blade weapons are the same. Additionally, some of the markings on the model are drawn in the lineart as well (see the feet, pylons, chest plates). Personally, I think this figure looks awesome and I want it.
- Special Revoltech "Ikuto Yamashita original color version"
This figure is the same shape as standard Eva-01 Revoltechs, but the markings match the figure detailed above. I own this Revo myself.

- Going back to the Anima scans, you have Eva-00 with its Type-F equipment:
Stabilising leg replacement, shoulder pylon design with connected Angel's Spine weapon

And venturing into the world of figures once again we have the Type-F Trading Figure set:
00 Type-F - same armor, amputated arm and leg are replaced with the same specialised equipment. This is the alternate color variant though.
Here we have the normal color version, matching the Anima artwork. Eva-02 Type-F is there as well, holding a sword similar to that seen in the lineart. Again that's the 'secret figure' version of 02, you can see the normal color version here. The Eva-01 in this set is the same as it is in the games - same armor, wields the Mastema.

If anyone sees any other figures related to Anima (including any more on the Angel Carrier models we saw in early scans), please post about it.
