Why should he? Maybe he did, but didn't like the idea, we don't know.

Yeah I read it too and thought 'hmm, finishing it this year is waaaay too optimistic unless he's working on nothing else'.

Really looking forward to his way of ending the story.

Based on the description I've read, we're at the equivilent of the last 7-10 mintes of EoE (that includes One More Final). So it could mean the manga could end in two or three installments. The problem then is it could be months in between those installments. Not only he's probably working on Final, he's working on other projects as well.

Last translation I found was Chapter 91.

Wait a second, I saw there is an error in the number of the last chapters : 91 is the one where Shinji's flashbacks begin, when he is little and Yui talks about how were the seasons before 2I and what snow is...
And then when I search for chapter 92, I found one in spanish where Shinji said he's gonna fuck the whole plane(the chapter where Yui and Gendo have a final conversation before he dies), but it seems this chapter is actually the 93rd, because before that there is supposed to be a chapter where Shinji take the famous decision and where Asuka get tanged, it would be more logical no?

There is an offset between the chapter numbers between the Japanese and English versions, starting with there being two chapter 84s in the English version; since this error is preserved in the collected versions in vol 13, it's clearly here to stay - but it means that at present the chapter numbers alone aren't enough to identify them unambiguously.

Since I'm here, there is a crazy theory I would want to share with the rest of the forumers(us French people absolutely loves Epileptic Trees, we made gardens out of them) :

So Sadamoto announced that he will finish the manga for this year(2013), and incidentally RoE FINAL is supposed to be released for 2013. What if it isn't a coincidence? What if Sadamoto deliberately delayed the release of the last chapters because a very important information and/or event will occur in them that will serves in Rebuild?

And before you ask : yes, I am indeed thinking of the Sequel/Time Loop Theory.
Example : what if in the very last chapter Shinji, after seeing that the "happiness" and "painless" existence brought by Instrumentality is fake, an escape from reality, a false lead, a dead end for mankind... choses to reject it, like he did in EoTV and EoE? But for what I understood of the last scripts, so far in chapter 94

global tangification is finished, but Shinji is still with Rei/Lilith, even if GGNR already exploded. So technically if he wants, he can ask another favor to Lilith, who is right now something of a god, and ask her to go back to prevent all this madness to ever happen. Lilith said "OK sure, but you must know that you can never come back to things as they exactly were, it's not a guarantee that every events will turn out exactly the same like 'last time', even if you don't intervene, it's like throwing a dice : you can throw it exactly like last time, but the same numbers won't necessarily come out". More clearly : "yes you can come back in time, but some events will be different. Also that's not a guarantee that things will turn for the better, you could make thing even worse."
Oh and no one will remember what happened/will happens, they will only have reminiscence of how the events changed them, and thus make them acts a little differently of how you knew them, 'cause that sounds more fun like that, I'm bored and I'm God, I can do whatever the fuck I want."

Shinji accept this new chance, to throw the dice toward the unknown for the chance to change things for the better. Cue Time Fuckery, and the last image of the manga is a scene of

Of course, I'm not saying that it was planned since the very beginning back some months before the beginning of NGE, but Anno and Sadamoto could have taken advantage of the manga's epic schedule issues to

Well in volume 13 it didn't show anyone getting tanged and 13 ended with stage 91 so I would think it would be before.

The Black Moon explodes and seconds later, Rei (who even had tears in her eyes prior to this - she is more emotional/human in this scene than in the movie) "blows up" (more like, bursts into light), too. Unit 01 expels the Lance of Longinus from its mouth and turns it into its final, double-helix version.

Eva MP series die (fake lances balloon then detonate) and Giant!Lilith explodes, too (this chapter was sponsored by Michael Bay). Motes of light (snowflakes?) cover the landscape, including the Geofront pyramid (wait, wasn't that supposed to be on the Black Moon...which just bled then exploded?), and the chapter ends with Unit 01 ascending above Earth.

Note: my eyes might be tricking me, but I believe I saw the character 完 at the bottom of the last page, for the June edition of Monthly Young Ace. If my suspicion is correct, you know what this means, right?
