02 is up on HLJ!

http://www.hlj.com/product/kyd010902

Looks pretty nice all in all. Looks like their sculptor is a bit better than the previous or something, the head actually resembles an Eva.

I'm REALLY hoping for a Unit 13 RAH. Unit 01 is so damn beautiful.

That is a sexy beast.

I'll still hold out for an RD, and pick this up on the aftermarket if no such offering from Bandai appears, but this is bloody good.

Perhaps we will see it included in Eva 08b, SEELE-01. *sigh* I cannot get over thinking of you as Arael man. T^T It's just not the same!

Anyhoo did anyone else notice the awkwardness of 02y's shoulder pylon? The lower back is actually molded into the upper arm while the rest is a separate piece attached by a revo joint, a-la evo sculpt. Sometimes I just dont understand the choices Kaiyodo makes with their sculpt changes. I find the decision to eliminate revo joints from the hands is actually an improvement. The spears always made the revo joint go limp in the evo sculpt.

I don't have an RAHs but I'd pay hundreds of American dollars for a Mari in her new plugsuit.

When I think of it... Maybe we were just being spoiled with the angel extra parts...
Eliminating the gimmicks and angel parts what came with each EvaEvo?

Eva 00: Missile, extra limbs
Eva 01: Prog knife, Rifle, Extra head
Eva 02: Knives, Crossbow, S equipement
Eva 03: Angels parts (extra arms, forearms, head and Entry Plug)
Eva 04: Spear, Knife and Rifle
Eva 05: Open claws
Mark. 06: Spear

Eva 02': Naginata, machine gun arm...
As much as with Eva 00 and more than with Eva 05 and Mark. 06...
So no biggie...

I know on Mandarake a used item is usually pristine, but I don't know if it's the same from most eBay vendors. They're all stock images with no detailed descriptions from Japan.

They will probably be overtly expensive on Ebay... You better wait for one to appear on Mandarake... It may take a while, but it will be better than paying 2-3 times more on Ebay...

Also, fixed my Eva 04...
Stuck a headless screw on the hip... It's kinda tight now, but it's better than it falling

Anyone knows how tall are the Soul of Chogokin Evas... Specifically he XS-09 Eva 00? Anyone has it?

I have the XS-09, it's about 7.5" standing straight up. Here's a pic next to the XS-04 and a RD 00.

I really like this new design, it makes the revoltech toys look much better as the evas are a bit thicker.

Could you put up a picture of the SPEC Unit 00's unarmoured head?

I want that Eva 00 'cuz of the sweet sweet 3-part Spear... How long is it?

Also, are the metallic colored ones the same size? I'm interested on Eva 04...

Heres the unarmored head (the other units have their unique eyes, I guess they just opted to leave the 00 face blank):
Image
And the spear (about 13.5", too big to fit in my shelf):

...No eyes?

Oh come on, Bandai, that's just lazy.

Otherwise it's a great figure though, although the proportions (the waist mainly) look a tad different to the series.

And thus, the face of Eva 00 remains a mystery...

Do you have this one dustwulf?

No I don't, I've only picked up the XS series, haven't really looked at the older GX figures.

Don't know if it's been posted, but here's some sculpts of the upcoming 08b and mark 09. I've never liked the revo evas but these newer ones based off the 13 sculpt look good.

I'm liking both of them and the new overall sculpt of these revoltechs, very dynamic. Still wish Bandai would release some more RD figures though. :sniffle:

So going to be caving on my "no figures" rule and grabbing a Mark.09 Revoltech when it drops...

Probably get one of the recent Mark.06 re-release too, because Mark designations are best Evas.

:smokin:

Ugh, who am I kidding - I want 02'γ, 08β and Evangelion 13 as well!

Sweet pictures, I'm begining to sound like a broken record but these look great, what has Yamaguchi been doing to make a leap like this?! It'll never happen, especially since the mould is being used for the earlier version of unit 08 but seing as Yamaguchi has really nailed the look of unit 09 which is pretty close to the 2.0 Eva's it would be cool if Kaiyodo retired the Evo mould and had one last go at a definitive 2.0 Eva! Yeah not going to happen, I think even the most hardcore fans would pass on that (well I wouldn't because I'm a sucker).

Still, it does make me wonder if this imporvement in sculpt quality is a reaction to the Damashii Eva's. And though I never felt like the Evo's lived up to them this new batch certaintly do, as others have mentioned this may in part have something to do with new designs. The new chinkier look must make them easier to engineer. Having said that 09 is skinny, so yeah, I don't know what I'm talking about.
