anyone heard anything about the new Eva Portraits set coming out late October that popped up on amiami with the tentative name of portraits set f02?
http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?gcode=FIG-COL-6014&page=top
I have a feeling a 3.0 new plugsuit mari will most likely be one, but I don't know what the others will be. would love a new Q Misato and short haired risako, I can dream but you never know seeing as the did Fuyutuski for the Q set last year. (maybe even cyclops visor gendo)
Found out the lineup for the next portraits series polos good just a shame we get another Rei when we could have Misato, but liking the suzahara :)

The lances are actually quite a bit longer, by half an inch or a bit more.
IF YOU THOUGHT FOURTH IMPACT WAS BAD....
Crappy photos can be found here ===> http://s103.photobucket.com/user/Teh_Gendo/library/Figures?sort=3&page=1
Things to note:
Mine came with a glued neck joint... so I just took the joint from the 4-arm torso. It's a pain to swap back and forth but could be worse.
Torso joint does NOT like to swap into either 4-arm or 2-arm upper torso. You gotta wrestle it.
Upper torso/most of the figure is covered in some sticky finish, that becomes slightly matte after handling.
The way they designed the torso joints is awesome, but it's REALLY finicky and likes to get disorganized.
The hips on mine were glued wonky, so it'll always be a bit offset. Can't notice it until you look closely.
Paint app kinda messy on the inner left arm, but other than that, paint apps are AMAZING.
IT'S TALL.
Overall, I love it. Takes some getting used to but once you get used to it, it's amazing. The 4-arm mode allows for a LOT of fun and shenanigans. This figure really captures the "wrong-ness" feeling I get from Unit 13. I'd recommend it to everyone- don't get mad when trying to mess around with it out of the box, take some time to get used to everything. Experiment!
Overall: 9/10. Revoltech is really stepping up their game, but it feels like they've got a little more to go until they perfect their new techniques. I just wish there was a couple more hand options for both arms. And a dummy plug head would've upped the rating/fun factor quite a bit. Exclusive/repaint release in the future? I'd buy it.... Yeah, I would. Here's hoping for an Awakened Unit 13.

The stiffness of the torso parts may be due to the paint job? They are known for often having bit of wonky paint job here and there that make swap-able parts either too stiff or too loose due to thickness of the paint. But better to get one that is too stiff in my opinion. Or is it just the way it is engineered? Which model are the lances on the left (of eva, not us) from? I really like the size of that thing and the mold of the shaft (though the part where it separates into pointy ends doesn't look as nice as the other sets.)
The set of spears he came with are in the "main" arms. The other two are from the Fraulien Rei, and the old SOC Unit 00. The one from Rei is taped because it snapped.
ALSO BE SURE TO BE CAREFUL WITH YOUR LANCES FROM UNIT 13- ONE ALMOST BROKE ON ME!
The hole the peg pegs into on the lance is very-very-very-thin plastic- be careful not to stress it or anything of the sort. I spotted a stress line that turned out to be a crack (if I didn't get to it in time it would break and then I'd have ANOTHER lance to tape up...) so I took some superglue, a q-tip, and gently smeared superglue on the plastic around the peghole.
It can do a BUTTLOAD of poses easily- just gotta be mindful of where the limbs are xD I was in the process of doing the "stab" pose, where it stabs itself with the lances, I was blaring the music that happens around this scene, I grabbed the lance and started lifting it into place and the two arms moved with it- exactly how it happened in the movie. My jaw dropped. I really, really love this thing.

There's some cool pics of Unit 02y over on Yamaguchi's twitter, really shows the size difference between it and Evangelion 13. To those that already have the figure, is 13 bigger than a robot damashii? Unit 02y is looking pretty good to me.

Size matters not.
Here's the link to Twitter:

And P.S. Why did I ask about the size of Evangelion 13 compared to a robot damashii? I own the damashii's, I know how they scale next to the other revoltech Eva's so I can guess how Evangelion 13 scales to the robot damashii's by the pictures we've seen so far. Ignore this, I just realized I asked a daft question.

He seems to have lots of fun with all the figures
Also, I finished another of my ill fated customs:
Now I hope they don't release a "movie color" version
