Bandai has announced that they will be releasing a PSP game for GAINAX’s animation “Neon Genesis Evangelion”.
The game will be based on the “Neon Genesis Evangelion 2” released in November of 2003 on PS2, but with largely improved graphics, angels and battle, volume of the scenarios and better AI.

.............well fuck. that's just great.
I just spent 90 years trying to decide between a DS and a PSP (i'm definitely not made of money), and I was looking at the games, and decided for DS, even though Katamari was coming for PSP.

Now there's Katamari and freakin' Evangelion coming for PSP.

- Is this game going to be just like the Eva 2 game for ps2, or just similar?
- Any chances of a terribly-graphiced DS version? ;D haha
- Translated into english? I wonder if we can have jap audio with eng subs.

It seems to be a largely imroved version of the original for ps2, even with full control of the eva's in battle. definately an import title for me :)

That new information sounds really nice. Unfortunately, with me not understanding a lick of Japanese character's (just a few words here and there), I don't think I'll get this game unless a translation comes out someday (which hopefully will). I know it's not likely, I'm just getting my hopes up anyway, heh.

One of the reasons for this is because you get to chat with people and experience the alternate universe and everything, it's not just battling. So I'd like to be able to actually understand it, instead of saving and trial-and-error, like I did with "Girlfriend of Steel 2". :P

If it did come out in the US, I'd buy a PSP just to play it. The only reason I bought a PS2 was to play FFX.

To all PSP owners:

The PSP does not use region encoding for its games. So if you want to import Evangelion 2, you will be able to play it on your domestic PSP. Whether you know what the hell you're doing is your problem.

did the game on the ps2 version come out in america or england?

The N64 version was terrible, it was just a bundle of mini games tied together with a thin string :(

No Eva game has been localized anywhere.

Every Eva game falls into one of two categories:

1) A sequence of stupid mini games with no story.
2) A stupid story with no gameplay whatsoever.
