I thought that since Anno announced that he'd be directing Godzilla last April 1st, and April 1st is the start of Japan's fiscal year, then the chances of it being an April Fools joke is significantly lower this time around, since it definitely wasn't a joke last April Fools.

Apparently people who buy early tickets for Godzilla: Resurgence when they go on sale later this month will get a copy of the artwork.
But, they'll be pimping this out as a fun & ingenious marketing ploy. Personally I want a NERV Godzilla T-Shirt cause the logo is phenomenal! Plus Engrish!

I think Anno is doing some speech or Q&A on April 23rd when tickets for Godzilla start going on sale. Complete with a limited edition piece of the Godzilla Vs. Evangelion artwork.

Yeah, the thing on the 29th is what I was thinking about. Not sure if there will be a Q&A and even if there is I wouldn't expect any news on Final except "Please be patient." but there might be something new & cool Godzilla related.

Yeah, I wouldn't count on seeing or hearing anything Final related until some time after Godzilla's released. There's a small chance they could have a little tease or something attached to the movie, but do Japanese studios usually do that kind of thing?
