We will never know what happins after EoE, but as Yui said as lon as you are alive theirs a chance to be happy.

They will be ok, Anno did so I can beleive that his dysfunctional creations were not beyond getting over their issues. :wink:

His troubles were much deeper than problems with women. He was commited to a mental hospital for a while I beleive. Mental illness can be quite inspiring at times (I should know). Many great artists and scientists were seriuosly mentally ill.

about the incest thing, when adam and eve where, incest was alright, till the world was populated it enough to not remember your familiars then it turned bad. I think they should make a manga called neon genesis evangelion aftermath

Except that when Cain was banished after murdering Abel, he found that the land of Nod, east of Eden, was already populated...

Actually, all human-origin myths, and all pantheist set-ups are - by necessity - heavy on the incest.

On more solid ground - there was some interesting work done recently (in the context of generation-ship crew sizes) that suggested that a group large enough so that no-one would have to marry closer than second cousin would be about 150 people. Which is about the size of the average human social circle (the number of people with familiar names and faces), and previously, of the typical hunter-gatherer tribe.

I think that there is most Eva fan's dream, I for one would love to see a sequal, but I doubt Anno would ever do one, not after all the death threats, and bullshit that the original generated. But we can all dream can't we? I want a sequal with some kick-ass cyborg action, doubt I'll get it but I can dream can't I?

The difference between "real" and "fan-made" is slight - since GAINAX were a bunch of otaku who got together producing short animations for the SF conventions they attended, the original could be accused of being fan-made.

Or he could go like he did in eoe and make something to piss off the people who did that even more, that's what I would do! There have been rumors of an eva prequal, but to be honest I'd rather see a continuation about Shinji and Asuka post 3rd impact.

I'd hate to see a sequal. I'm pretty happy with the series where it ended, and if a sequal was made, it would disprove everything I think about the series.

I would hate to see a true sequel. Those are best left to crappy fanfics as a real sequel would ruin what makes Evangelion special. The ending is one in which your own personal thoughts and opinions dictate what happens. To see a so called official ending would ruin that and in effect ruin the anime to a degree.
