[LAEM] Hollywood voices

Ok, I know this is supposed to be a live action film, but say by chance it ended up getting made into a CG film (highly unlikely), what famous voices would you like to hear portray certain characters?

And I mean screen actors rather than voice actors.

I would like to Ritsuko voiced by Gillian Anderson, it just make so much sense in my head I can't ignore it. And I don't know who he would play, but I would love to hear Edward Norton's voice for some character, maybe Hyuga. His monologues were amazing in Fight Club.

I think the best is to cast out all the big actor voices, and put all the not too familiar actors make the dubs.

nooooo!, you want this film to sound good don't you, not sound like some poor rushed awful irritating comic voice that doesn't fit Shinji in any way.

I dunno, I think that the original Eva (english) cast would work well for a cg movie.

But then again...I just wanna hear more of Spike, Amanda, Jason, Tiffany and the gang.

ah...pointless nostalgia...

Even so, ADV would/will probably choose some good actors.

More importantly...aside from Weta, I think Square Pictures would kill for the chance to work their magic with Eva!

Just as a note, Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within and Final Flight of the Osiris were both made at Square Pictures USA. Advent Children is being made at Square Enix in Japan. Square Pictures doesn't exist anymore. They closed their doors after production of Final Flight of the Osiris. The Spirits Within movie damn near crippled Square and put them into massive amounts of debt.

This is a just-for-fun topic, right? Cool.
Gillian Anderson as Ritsu works really well, surprisingly. Ben Stiller as Makoto. Clint Eastwood as Fuyustuki. Kevin Bacon as Gendo. You know, I actually got so used to Alison Keith as Misato, I can't really think of anyone else for that role. Oh, and Marilyn Manson as Shigeru. (Shigeru always struck me as a weird guy who would mutter most of his sentences.) The children are hard to consider, since I can't think of any big voices who could be convincing teenagers (that includes, to some degree, even the original actors in both English and Japanese.) Personally, I always thought Asuka should have had a slight German accent. Whoever can do that is okay, since I can't think of anyone. For some reason, Lacey Chabert pops in my head as Rei, though I can't figure out why. (Is her voice still so squeaky?)

yeah, I heard about that XD That sucks, I kinda liked spirits within. I think it would be funny if Pixar animated Evangelion.

I love all their movies, I just know that Evangelion is not their style, even though they'd probably do a good job with it.

The only way Pixar would be good would be if the intention was to make a 3D version of the anime; nothing more, nothing less. Everything they do looks like a cartoon--a splendid cartoon, but a cartoon nonetheless, and I think that's a good tradition for them.

Anyway, how did we come to this?
