They haven't finished with Starcraft II, who cares about a third game right now?

I do. I swore not to play until they released Superultralisks.

There is no way this game can be any good. This genre has been dead for years. At this point they might as well try to make Diablo 3... oh wait.

The genre isn't dead, but damn, they sure could have innovated the game and not make it a 3D version of the first.

I can't believe the game still isn't out yet! This is unreal! Why Blizzard? Why would you tease us like that?

Well technically, ultras are a lot more powerful in SCII than in SCI so you could classify them as "super"ultralisks.

I'm sure that many many Koreans would disagree with that.

Sigh, I wish I had a beta key. :(

Oh man, those poor South Koreans.

In other news, I am still awaiting my beta key. Signed up some time ago, but apparently Blizzard will be sending them out in "waves." No one knows when they'll be ending this stint.

I'm not interested in them being more powerful than the original ultralisks, all I care about is that they have a "super" prefix to their name.

Finally, the sequel of the award winning 1998 video game was now released, it is called StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty. As I can see it see far more liked by gamers than its predecessor according to some reviews. Also, the first version originally sold 11 million of copies, while the StarCraft 2 release already sold 800,000 or more pre-order copies, that's why I'm pretty sure it would be a hit. So all you gamers out there, grab your copy of StarCraft 2 now!

I've seen some pro-gamers' battles, and damn, they are good. The game seems awesome, both graphically and "gamingally". There's some kind of epicness that makes it amazing.

I got it two days ago. My final analysis...

SPOILER: Show
Awesome! Even though I've been going through the campaign mode to gain some more experience before tackling multiplayer, its been a blast so far. My only complaint is that I'll probably end up shelling out $120 more to get the future Zerg and Protoss campaigns. It even plays pretty smoothly on my notebook, and it still looks impressive at even medium graphics settings.

Shitty, because I play the game for the story. Terran is my least favourite race too, because i'm a misanthropic sonofabitch.

Just tried SC2 a couple of days ago, and I am duly impressed. At first I had the graphics set on low, but I changed it to defaults after seeing that it didn't impact performance too much. The graphics are past my expectations, but I probably couldn't have gotten very far without using cheats all of the fucking time. Then my girlfriend pulled me off of my computer chair and knocked down my laptop, and now Starcraft won't run for more than a couple of minutes without my comp instantly shutting down. She hasn't stop laughing about it since, as she has a habitual distaste for Starcraft (Red Alert is OK, though).

I just wish I got the chance to play around with Zerg and Protoss before my GF somehow stopped me from playing. Still, it was fun while it lasted.

Wait, wait, wait, wait a second, Vegeta 20XX. Let me get this straight: you have a girlfriend?

Seriously, I'm sorry that you are having problems. Have you tried installing and reinstalling? Performing a hardware diagnostic to see if there are any faulty components? Perhaps the disk drive was damaged? Maybe you should download new graphics drivers, or roll back to the low settings? There has to be some solution to this.

After playing the campaign, I feel that my ideal factions are either the Terrans or the Protoss because they seem like the most conventional of the three. Plus the Terrans have Thor, which is probably the most broken unit ever. The campaign was won virtually by default after I unlocked it.

I'm still not quite sure if I'm ready for multiplayer yet though. Maybe after a few practice matches against the harder A.I. enemies and my RL friends would help prepare me.

I'm working on reinstalling right now. If that fails, then I'll have the hardware checked. If nothing comes up then, I'll just take it to a computer specialist in town and see if the problem can be fixed that way.
