I just envisioned a new ending where Asuka totally destroys the M.P. Evas by blasting them with MacArthur Park.

For some reason, during some songs I've listened to multiple times before, I can imagine it to Evangelion. The bridge or whatever is usually from Eoe, either Instrumentality or "Asuka shines". Usually.

Funny that 2001: A Space Odyssey was on last night. The use of classical music to convey movement and action fits Evangelion to a tee. I'm not sure I could find a better piece than 'Air' for Asuka's fight. Perhaps 'Bolero,' or maybe 'Minstrel Boy' (except that Asuka is a girl :p). Also 'L'arena' from the Kill Bill soundtrack, which is what I'm using as inspiration for Genocide.

I have no idea what I'd replace it with, but I hate the 'cornball antics' song that often accompanies Asuka.

Me too, but it makes me smirk to think about how much Asuka would hate it, too.

If I were to re-score Evangelion, it would be with all Wagner music. Wagner was probably the biggest influence on this series. Isn't it obvious guys?
