Why anyone would want to watch Eva with a parent is beyond me.

I think there are a few scenes that would be very awkward to watch with your parents, regardless of how cool you are with them. Like when Shinji masturbates over a comatose Asuka. Or when Shinji watches as Misato and Kaji have sex. Or when naked Rei is riding Shinji. Hmm, I'm starting to see a pattern here of Shinji and awkward sexiness.

Nah, I have a cool relationship with my parents. They like weird movies, so I figures I'd try this one on them.

The only reason I'd think that "sexiness" would be uncomfortable with one or more parents is if you feel that you (or a parent) might be aroused by the scene... which, uh... I wasn't, and I'm assuming my father wasn't.
My mother might be somewhat disturbed by it, but... I've seen movies with them with sex scenes in them, and I'm not quite sure why this would be any more awkward.
And, furthermore, I'm pretty sure SFAiBL was supposed to be disturbing.

I know what you're talking about, but i'll be goddamned if I know exactly what that abbreviation actually stands for...
He was warrior and mystic, ogre and saint, the fox and the innocent, chivalrous, ruthless, less than a god, more than a man. There is no measuring Muad'Dib's motives by ordinary standards. In the moment of his triumph, he saw the death prepared for him, yet he accepted the treachery. Can you say he did this out of a sense of justice? Whose justice, then? Remember, we speak now of the Muad'Dib who ordered battle drums made from his enemies' skins, the Muad'Dib who denied the conventions of his ducal past with a wave of the hand, saying merely: "I am the Kwisatz Haderach. That is reason enough."

I think a regular sex scene would be less awkward. Sex is a normal part of life. Seeing that would be easier to watch. However, beating off over a comatose person (who also happens to be jailbait - in what medium other than anime is it acceptable to see a naked 14 year old girl?) is definitely abnormal. Deviant sexual behavior, I think, is what would make this incredibly awkward.

My parents loved American Pie movies and other comedy of the like, so I doubt this would be any problem.
