After all these years, I'm still surprised when people choose Shinji the Wanker as more disturbing than Shinji the Serial Strangler.

'Tut'
I put shame on myself, I never viewed it as 'serielism'.
I Harold Shipman probably didn't kill as many people as the number of time's Shinji strangled Asuka.

I wouldn't say I'm surprised, but I do think it's a testament to the brilliance of that scene that it makes such an impact. Of course, Mr. Sophistry JF would have us believe that's actually a titillating scene.

Everything Shinji does is so hopeless that I can't help but find it adorable.

Asuka's internal happy place slide-show is a bit unnerving, but everything else delights me. Everything. Actually, somethings I am delighted to be disturbed.

I guess for me it's in episode 19 when Shinji makes a last minute decision to pilot again. By the time he gets to the cages and activates Unit-01, the fourteenth angel has already infiltrated the Geofront and actually crashes right through NERV's main viewscreen. Nevertheless, Shinji manages to intercept the angel just in the nick of time to save everyone.

So, the audience is left to cope with the reality that instead of being killed by the angel at point blank range (or at least losing as many limbs as Touji did in the previous episode), Gendo merely gets sprayed with some blood from Unit-01's arm, but is otherwise left completely intact.

I have to admit, to this day it still bugs me.

^ Yeah, that would've been something new.

Not only could Gendo have given less of a rat's ass regarding his son's life, the bastard probably deducted the cost of his dry cleaning bill from the salary NERV is supposed to pay its pilots (but doesn't).

I would rate that as funniest moment. It could only have been made funnier if Asuka had regained consiousness midway.

Scary, i wouldn't have found it funny.

It's not like there's anything wrong with masterbation, it's just, well, I dont think it was exacly what I was expecting when I first watched EoE.

Upon a little thinking, I found a lot of things in Eva disturbing but one that stands out to me right now aside from what I mentioned earlier in this thread is 01's movements when she eats Zeruel. When she gets up her hind legs, the way her arms are hanging and shoulders slouched and how she's looking around like she's in a daze with those white, vapid eyes, it all put me SO MUCH in mind of an ape or a primitive human, and made me think about just how animalistic humans can be sometimes...and here's a 200 foot demi-god acting that way. Really freaked me the hell out when I really thought about it.

Unit 01 Falcon Punching Unit 03's head, and the resulting Tsunami of blood was both disturbing and entertaining because I didn't expect something so over-the-top to happen.
My handwriting is atrocious, so I cannot sign my signature. Sorry for any trouble this may cause.

Quite possibly he licked it all off - assuming him to be un-cut and thus not requiring any possibly inedible lubricant that would get mixed in.

Why would circumcision make him require lubricant? I don't need it.

People were more concerned about the fact that an eleven year old girl said cunt in Kick-Ass than the fact that she had just killed thirteen people with a frakking katana.
