First off, they are super robots, and it would be stupid to ban them from the Coliseum at Mecha Talk because realistic units can take them down (Virsago alone would rip apart a G Gundam unit of lower tier class). To call G Gundam a ripoff of DBZ is to proclaim complete ignorance of every single super robot show in existence and pretend DBZ invented "fighting". As for Master Asia destroying MS using the headband, nobody understood that one, but it's an anime, understanding is not needed to enjoy.

Ugh G Gundam is light years better than DBZ, it's got a plot that makes sense unlike DBZ that appears to be centered around powering up for episodes on end and beating the living crap out of an giant pink alien in diapers.

I dunno, I had a really hard time taking G-gundam seriously, all sorts of cheesy things kept happening and there was even a gundam that looked like sailor moon. But I will agree it was a lot better then dbz.

well to me I would watch G Gundam but I really wasn't in to the concept like the other Gundams.

G Gundam is the one of the funniest series i've seen, the trouble with people who hate it is that they're taking it too seriously. i mean c'mon, master asia can take out a mobile suit with his bare fucking hands for chrissake!^^
