So, I feel like writing an Eva fanfic. Unfortunately I'm not sure what to do.
I have a few ideas, but I don't know which would be the best. And even these ideas have splintered into sub-ideas and ARGH WRITER'S BLOCK and all.
So, basically, what should I go for? I was thinking of doing a silly fic as I like silly things.
Anyway, here are my ideas:
Gender-Flip Fic:
Fairly obvious, one or more characters are temporarily turned into the opposite sex by a rather trollish Angel. Hilarity ensues. Probably my favourite option now. However, if I did do this, what should I go for?
A: 1 character (probably Shinji) is genderflipped. Hilarity for everyone except Shinji ensues. Cue teasing/"life lessons"/abuse from Asuka, heartwarming stuff with Touji and Kensuke (of the "You'll always be our friend regardless of what gender you are" type), All sorts of perverted antics from Rei, possibly involving celery, and so on.
B: 2 Characters (Probably Shinji+Asuka) get genderflipped. This goes just as well with both of them as you would expect. Possible Asuka+Shinji WAFF, although not much as I don't approve of Asuka+Shinji unless it's with Rei in a threesome.
C: Shinji, Rei and Asuka ALL end up genderflipped in a mission against said trollish Angel. Arguments, gender-bending hijinks, WAFF etc, basically the same as the other 2 but with all 3 pilots.
D: The ENTIRE CAST is genderflipped. No further explanation needed.
Trapped-on-a-Desert-Island-or-Some-Other-Location Fic:
Asuka, Shinji and Rei (and maybe some others) get stuck on a desert island/in a forest on a camping trip/up a mountain/in 'Murica or whatever. Not sure about this one, but I think it has potential.
Crossover:
Self-explanatory. Not sure what I'd crossover with though.
Any other funny ideas you have:

Maybe a vacation for the pilots where they go camping with their friends, but something lurks in the woods... Monster could be a human-sized Angel that goes after the pilots one by one. Characters would have to be very accurate to avoid generic slasher degeneration.

Regarding option D, I've been entertaining the idea of only the three primary Eva pilots plus Misato getting flipped for a while now. Unlike my previous genderflip idea however, this would keep the personalities as well (in the other fic, I had Shinji become a tomboy).

I would read the be-JEEZUS out of a 'trapped on a desert island' fic. I can just imagine Asuka's increasingly desperate and pitiful attempts to take charge of the situation.

I have finally come to a decision on what to write (it's one of my original ideas, but I shan't say anything beyond that. However, these are all fantastic ideas and I can assure you I will be fictionalizing them at some point.
