I knew something like that from that Angelic Upstarts song "Five flew over the cukoo's nest". Didn't know it came from a movie. I'll have to see this.

The movie came from a book, so read that, too.

For the longest time, it wasn't available for distribution in the UK - Kubrik withdrew it after some copycat violence. Now, like Casablanca, it's one of those "film greats" that I've never seen, but have heard so much about that I expect I never shall, preferring to keep the legend rather than the reality.

Fight Club "Rule #1, you do not talk about fight club"
Spaceballs "Megamaid! Shes gone from suck.... to blow!"
The demon returns after a long slumber....

Well, have you read the book?

By the way, they showed Kubrick's "The Shining" on TV here in Sweden the other night, I was going to sleep but I couldn't - got too nostalgic when I saw that car driving up the mountain... Hell, what a great movie it is! The elevators and the blood, everything...

Jacob's Ladder was a great film.
As were the (few) movies before the bullshit known as Star Wars came along. :P

I can't pick four, because I suck, too. So... I'll just try to narrow it down ( ) to those that I (A) watch the most, (B) feel the most corrupted by, and (C) carry nearest and dearest to my heart.

CREAM OF THE CROP

Aliens
Dogma
The Last Unicorn
The Lord of the Rings Trilogy
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
The Princess Bride
Princess Mononoke
Robin Hood: Men in Tights
South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut
Spaceballs
Spirited Away
Star Wars (4 thru 6)
Terminator 2: Judgment Day
Who Framed Roger Rabbit?

OTHER PICKS
(had trouble narrowing this down, so...)

Akira
Alien
Alien^3
Babe
Beauty & the Beast (Disney)
Beavis & Butt-head Do America
Beetlejuice
Blazing Saddles
Chasing Amy
Death to Smoochy
Fight Club
The Forbidden Zone (= ludicrously awesome cult film)
Forrest Gump
Ghostbusters
Good Will Hunting
Jurassic Park
The Lion King
Men in Black
My Neighbor Totoro
The Neverending Story
Office Space
Orgazmo
Star Trek: First Contact
The Terminator
Total Recall
Toy Story
Yellow Submarine

I don't really consider EoE a movie 'in its own right'.

I'd like to update my list to include Advent Children, which is the best film I've seen this year, easily better than RotS and WotW. Anyone who's played FFVII is required by law to watch this, by the way.

I'm gonna have to go with Rubber Johnny. The Truman Show was cool too.
The purpose of writing is to inflate weak ideas, obscure poor reasoning, and inhibit clarity. With a little practice, writing can be an intimidating and impenetrable fog!

Advent children seems quite good, just need to see the full thing now seen as I only saw an 1/8th of it.
I have too much anime, yet it's not enough. Anime Addict, if it were a drug; I'd be dead.
